Putting Stevie G in there is a no brainer as he s the best midfielder in Europe. But asking for Rafa to be involved, that decision could only be made by people who had knowledge on the game. Derrr.

How? Does UEFA base their assessment on European competition only or does it include domestic competition?
If its European only then its a laugh. Mourinho took his side to the semi final, after spending tens of millions and inheriting a team that reached the previous years semi final. Benitez took a side that had major domestic problems and was nowhere in the previous year's competition to go on and win the competition. Benitez picked sides that out thought Chelsea, Juventus and Milan. The first two ties were hugely tactical affairs and the final saw a turnaround inspired by a change in shape of the Liverpool side.
UEFA? Having a laugh.

Yes, I was surprised Lampard didn't make it, given that he did actually play fairly well in Europe (and domestically), he's hugely hyped and coveted in Spain.

I not surpise that JM got the name in UEFA XII team. I think the only reason why he got it because is how he lead Cheshit to Champion of EPL in his first year.
