Question...

Can anyone name Rafa's last 4 league positions?

I'm curious...

The year and the position would be helpfull.

Thanks. :)

Hmmmmm. I don't think we can seriously have any expectations of coming first this season though. Much as I'd love it to be a possibility, I just can't see the Premiership being strong enough to take enough points off Chelsea. There is absolutely no question at all though that we are improving apace at the moment. We have a real opportunity here, we can take the big step up to make the top three into the top four with very little improvement. One or maybe two players would do it.

Am i that predictable. :( :D

Mick i genuinely think Chelsea are about to hit a bad run of form, as of late they haven't played well and Boro really tested them the other week. I'm not saying they are going to lose 5 and draw 1 of their next 6, but i can see them maybe dropping 2 to 4 points over the next 5 weeks. If we can keep winning, that will put us within touching distance. I genuinely believe now, theres no excuse for not giving them a run for there money. We're in great shape at the back and we have enough to score a few against anyside outside the top 6 i would say.

I believe its easier to chase a pace setter, rather than set the pace yourself.

Should we beat Boro on Sunday, we could find ourselves in a very strong position.

not sure if we have enough about us to win the league yet, we look water tight at the back but were still not the most fluent going forward on a regular basis. Having said that though i think 2nd is a realistic possibility as i dont think united or arsenal are much better than we are these days, and we only seem to improve while they falter.

Hard to imagine that Chelsea are going to hit a bad patch, Stu. This is because of the squad depth they have which is filled with quality players. After 1 bad resutl with an unconvncing display, Maureen would simply dig into his squad and replace the non-performers, unless they were Terry and Lampard, who are irreplaceble as far as Maureen in concerned.

For them to have a sustained poor run, these 2 must be in poor form and the rest is either similarly affected or are taking their eye off the ball in search of new pastures come January to secure a move elsewhere to get a place in their respective country's World Cup 2006 squad.

But football being football, anything is possible...

I'm not ignoring the jist of the thread, but don't you think that 5th is a big drop from 1st?
What happened at Valencia to go 1st, 5th, 1st!?!
Am I right in thinking that Aimar joined after the first title win?

chelsea are there to be caught. like stu said they arnt playing to well. i can see them dropping points, the big 4 have all got to play each other, theres 9 points there that can be dropped, but i wudnt worry about it. just make sure we keep on winnig and im sure they will falter. dint liverpool under roy evans have a good lead by crimbo then blow it ?

I said we will get 2nd and I got raised eyebrows from members when we were mid table (our moderator St. Mick was one). I CAN see Chelsea unravelling especially if they get dumped out of the CL (could happen). We still have many matches to go, and just because Moureen (and the media) thinks Chelsea has no equal, it does not mean sh1t to me.

watched them today and they didn'y look that good -- i really want to see the dynamic on that team as the world cup approaches and everyone wants/needs to play-- that may be their achilles heel -- this may sound stupid but they may have too many good players

no team is invincible and they simply are not destrying the opposition -- can we catch em -- i really don't think so but we are playing way better than them right now and add a couple of players in january  we may become better so watch april and next year
