Sissoko looks pure quality

I was amongst those who doubted Rafa's summer signings (or lack of).  I particularly feared the worst when Sissoko was labelled the new Vieira (we all know what happened the last time we signed the new Vieira, the mighty Salif Diao...)  But you have to say that Rafa can spot a good player, every time I've seen Sissoko he has looked excellent.

I'm sure that when a player Rafa really rates becomes available and is genuinely interested in signing for us he will snap them up, and it's a good thing he doesn't spend money on players he doesn't rate just to fill a hole in the squad.

Looks like we got a jem in sissoko. Hope he will be a driving force like vieira was for arsenal,
never doubt rafa when he brings in players! In rafa we trust.

Does that include Josemi, Pellegrino , Morientes and Nunez then ?  :D

But back to Sissoko, in the same way Xabi Alonso looked like he'd played for us for years after  a handful  of games , Sissoko has slotted in and is very effective in midfield. Only thing going against him is he looks like Traore from a distance :D

He's better than Paddy Veira, you're having a laugh, he's looking good though and still only 20, a very exciting prospect who's already doing the business.

I "like" him more than PV but I like Piles more than I like Patrick Viera  :D

Sissoko like Gerrard before him aspires to be as good as PV I'm sure but he isn't at that level just yet but if he keeps developing like this he will be  :buttrock

Have to agree - he was awesome tonight. That double challenge in the first half was sublime.

If he maintains that kind of form over the season, what a signing he'll have proved to be.

Sissoko is impressive so far and would be a great signing if he can keep up this level of play for the entire season. Patrick Vieira, he is not yet...but has ample abilities to emulate him.

I agree he is simply fantastic. Very energetic, swift and solid.
