Apparently there have been more secret discussions between the everton and liverpool owners about the possibility of building a new ground for the two teams.
I think it would be a good idea. The only way Liverpool as a city can compete with united and arsenal is to combine the clubs. The fan base would be huge and there would a great squad of players. If they did merge here is the team I would pick.

you have got to be havin a laf!! too much turkey methinks! heskey, instead of owen, biscan instead of hyypia, in fact any everton player instead of a a red one, hang on, are my eyes playing tricks on me, you actually want the clubs to merge!! lfc can cope and will cope on our own, with our own players, our own fans, our own ground...OUR OWN CLUB!!!

Guys...don't slag off these Evertonians for dreaming of merging with us. Truth is they have not much to talk about, their team is not even fit to join Liverpool's reserve team and their club history and achievement can be covered in one posting in this forum! In spite of that, I still think that Moyes is a pretty decent manager. Like Supersub summarised, just an Evertonian with a peanut for a brain

The idea is as ludicrous as it is absurd and we have a huge fan base in the British Isles and around the world, Everton has no fans outside ths city of Liverpool!

You're having a laugh mate, that team would be up for relegation. I reckon only Rooney would definitely make a combined team as poorly as Liverpool are playing at the moment.
Definite Liverpool players - Kirkland, Hyypia, Henchoz, Kewell, Gerrard, Hamann, Owen
Definite Everton players - Rooney
You're right about the manager though!
