35 million to spend on new players?

rafa will probably have a transfer kitty of around 35 million to spend on new players and selling some of the dead wood.
With our scedual thrown upside down, we will have to cancel Japan and the 2 friendlies now, if we have to play 6 games to qualify, I think rafa will probably keep biscan, Nunez, Pongolle, Traore, Josemi?.
As the likes of biscan knows the prem and how to play in europe, I might be wrong though, so who will become Liverpool players this month?
this is not a specualtion thread before anyone jumps on my back but players likely to be coming and players we would like to see and realistic targets I mean not, 30 million pound ones.

I would like SWP,Dirk Kuijt, John O'Shea, Tim Cahill, Gabriel Milito not seen him play but reports that hes an excellent defender plus carra needs a break, Vincent Kompany, I would be very happy if if any of these additions come to Liverpool.

I dont know whos in Rafas plans but expect to see some transfer activity next week.  :buttrock

We have to compete on all fronts and if Gerrard stays he could play upto 90 games next season, with the WC games
Our best 11 could have a burn out by december so its really important that we have a great squad of 22 players, to compete on all fronts in every competition.

I would love us to go all the way again in the CL but I wouldnt have been to bothered had we not been put back the UEFA Cup was probably worth 21 million to us plus we wouldnt have to play all these extra games.

I'd like us to stegthen the defence and build from the back.

I'd go for: Kuqt, Milito, Reina (done deal), Vicente, Park (£3m is a snip), SWP.

An I'd sell: Baros (£7m+), Diao (£2.5m+), Diouf (£2m+), Mellor (?), Cheyrou (?), and Kewell (£3m)

Agree with all the suggested buys above - Cahill might be a bit unlikely but you never know.
Stu - I think the qualifying rounds makes this different - its no longer just about getting the right players in & out. We need a bigger squad, ready to go in a month's time. For that reason, I don't think we should be selling anyone, or letting the likes of Biscan go, until we've got the squad together. That won't be easy, because it will take longer than a month to complete most of the transfers we need. If we are going to take the CL seriously, this is another headache.........

I honestly think we hsould og in for Kevin Nolan, with all these games he is a good player to have as backup in the sqaud. He's a scouser and would definitely be useful in the cold winter games in Januray.
He would be quite cheap, and with our hectic schedule we need a deep sqaud. The echo reported Igor is on the way out also, so for a couple of miilion he'd be worth having in the sqaud.

then we should look at another striker like Kuyt (Baros leaving) , a centre half and Joaquin/Luque. Evra could laso be a possibility.

                                 Reina

Finnan            Carra               Milito/Sami              Evra???/Riiise/Warnock

Joaquin?/Garcia           Gerrard            Xabi                Luque?/Riise/Kewell? ???? ???

                       Kuyt/Cisse            Morientes

For me personally i think we don't need a left back we have got loads aven't we.Look Traore,Riise,Warnock,Carra aswell. So evra we would not need him that much but is still a great leaft back so if we can get him GREAT

Dawson, although Traore has a good tackle on him, and has good sweeping ability, his first touch and distribution is poor and he isn't strong or great in the air. Decent sqaud player at best, not first choice.
