Liverpool youngster John Welsh was an unused substitute for England under-20s as fellow Red Carl Medjani helped France to a place in the final of the Toulon Tournament.
Despite figuring in all three of England's previous games Welsh played no part as Peter Taylor's side crashed out of the competition on penalties.
Medjani, who spent the whole of 2004/05 on loan at Lorient, has captained his country throughout the tournament and he'll now be hoping they can defeat Portugal in the final.
