Mauricio pellegrino - .....will be of great help to youngsters

Mauricio Pellegrino has certainly not be up to the standard but i think that we need to keep him. The reason is that he has so much of experience that would help our young defenders such as Whitbread and the others. I remember when Pelle and Ayala were leading the Valencia defence through Europe. They were very difficult to bread.

We have to get a young defender to partner liverpool player of the year, Jamie Carragher. Sami Hyppia has not really been up to the standard this season and that has certainly been linked to the age factor. If we had the money, i would certainly go for Phillippe Mexes.

I still think he was brought in to teach Rafa's Zonal marking system.  Would be supprised if he was offered a coaching position at the end of this season.

Heh, if  he's to teach something to the youngsters than we can quickly ship them to Div 3 - cause the'll only deteriorate :)

teach them what?  how to fall over when challenged by an attacker!  :D

Pellegrino is a poor defender and we have conceeded a lot of goals because he has been unable to challenge players.  He can put in some great passes but i wouldn't want him here next season.

I think he was brought in to teach zonal marking as well. We havent conceded hardly any goals from set plays since he came in January. Its all well and good trying to coach that play from the managers POV but you need someone in there who knows how to work that setup in order for other players to understand it.

Just as a footnote, I hope anyone who jeered Pellegrino when he finally did something right yesterday is sorry for taking the p**s out of him. After all he is still a Liverpool player, and as long as he wears that shirt, he shouldnt be ridiculed on the pitch.

yeah...the defence looks much better now.... Once we get the pacy centrehalf to partner carra, the defence will be awesome... If pelle's coaching is the reason for this....GIVE HIM A CONTRACT (as a coach...not as a player  :p )

I saw all i needed yesterday pellegrino messed up and then like a virus it spread across our defence josemi, warnock even carra looked a bit shakey towards the end. Get rid for good.

I though the could speak fluent english?

That was either Alonso or Nunez not Pellegrino.

Dont know what his role at the club will be, but i think he would be better suited giving little kids a ride up and down Blackpool seafront.

I've never seen nunez or pellegrino do an interview but i have seen alonso interviewed on the bbc sport website once and his english was pretty good so i think it must be alonso who speaks good english.
