Juventus - liverpool
Posted: Tue Apr 12, 2005 3:47 pmWednesday night can be special for LFC. If we beat Juventus in Turin I fancy us going all the way in CL. But this game will be damn hard to win. With a full strenght squad we should have had a good chance of winning, but at the moment we are far from full strenght.
Dietmar Hamann is the one player I think we will miss the most. His ability to close down the opponent and hold up the ball is invaluable in a gam,e like this. Also Gerrard's determination and strenght should have been useful in Italy. I am really worried if we play Biscan and Welsh in midfield. Both players have too little pace and strenght, and Juventus will dance around their feet and completely control the game. What I would like to see is a Phil Neville or Quinton Fortune kind of player in midfield tomorrow. And I think Riise could bust up their game alongside Biscan in the centre.
