Kaka admits Prem appeal - Milan forward could seek move to England -  8th April 2009

Brazilian star Kaka has hinted that he will seek a move to the Premier League if he leaves AC Milan. The skilful playmaker was strongly linked with a record-breaking transfer to Manchester City in the winter transfer window, but a switch failed to materialise.

Kaka, 26, has been playing in Serie A for six years, since signing for Milan from Sao Paulo in 2003, and admits England's top flight is a tempting destination. He said in the Daily Star: "I like the Premier League a lot, so maybe that would be my choice if I leave Milan.

"Whenever I can, I try to swap experiences with my friends playing in other countries and leagues. "All the players that I've talked to that play in the Premier League, or used to play there, say it's a tough league - tough, very fast and competitive."

Would Kaka fit into our style of play or are we still too rough round the edges for him?

I reckon we could make do with
        Alonso           Mascherano       Barry
                  Gerrard                Kaka
                                Torres

Everyday would be Christmas  :D

I'd play like this:

            Alonso/Masch

Kuyt           Kaka       Reira

        Gerrard    Torres

Surely with Kaka picking out Gerrard and Torres with his through passes it will be pure destruction...  :D

If you have players like those 3, you just have to let go abit of defensiveness in your system...

Kaka and Gerrard would constantly get in each others way.

If anything, I play Kaka as a second striker alongside Torres, and Gerrard in the "hole".

On recent evidence, I would like to see the following changes to our squad:

A prolific target man, in the Jan Koller mold.  Someone who can lead the line in the absence of Torres, but still able to play alongside him when required.

A skillful, rapid right winger with the ability to get to the by-line and tw*t a good cross in, as well as the ability to score 5-10 goals a season.

Cover at rightback.

That is all I want for Christmas. :D

Nice selection there but isnt Maxi Alteticos skipper?  Also I like Bojan Krkic but he is too young, we need another established player up front.

David Silva's been put up for sale now apparently. Would fit in beautifully IMO but 25 mil euro surely a bit much.

Valencia appear to have made a sensational U-turn just days after declaring that the have no intention of selling their superstar David Silva.

The club’s vice-president, Fernando Gomez, reportedly told Italian newspaper Sport Studio during an interview that Los Che are demanding €25 million for the versatile 23-year-old, who can play as a winger, a central attacking midfielder or as a second striker.

The news will send some of Europe’s superpowers, especially Juventus and Barcelona, into a frenzy as they have been hotly pursuing the Spanish international over the past year or so while the likes of Real Madrid, Liverpool and Inter have also expressed their interest in the past.

Valencia have yet to officially announce that they will put Silva on the transfer market but Catalan-based daily, Sport is convinced that the player will be sold off this summer based on Gomez’s latest statement.

Silva himself, meanwhile, had recently stressed that he does not want to leave the Mestalla as long as he is still under contract.
