Agree. When it comes to Nunez, we had our pants pulled down good and proper by Benfica and sounds as though he was one Klopp wanted.

Diaz has been a good signing overall imo and although injuries haven't helped let's be honest he isn't anywhere near Mane's level so a downgrade.

The start of the season must only be about a month away, when do our pre-season games start

Cheers Woof, the Euro's and Copa America are effing everything up, Arne's going to have no chance of implementing his playing style before the season starts, he'll be lucky just to meet all the players with the likes of Luis Diaz, Trent, MacAllister and Joe Gomes getting through to the final. Those 4 lads's season started last July and is only just ending now, after such a long campaign they'll all be needing an extended holiday which wont even start until monday.

The lack of action in the transfer market is a bit of a worry.

Maybe the new boss wants to work with the team first, Klopp didn’t make any major changes when he arrived either.

But as some have said, we haven’t replaced Mane, or Bobby. And Mo is another year older, I worry where the goals will come from.

I think no one has really done anything, aside from the Euros every team is more conscious of keeping a balanced book for fear of points deductions.

I think another two weeks before we see serious movement

I hope there is some truth in the rumours that we are interested in Spain’s Williams.

He had a really strong Euros and would give us the pace we’ve been missing since Mane left.

It would be a fantastic buy but I can’t see it happening now, no doubt Barcelona will be chasing and you’d think that would be his first choice. We have an unproven manager that the players have never heard of, maybe if Klopp was still the manager.

I think i've mentioned before that i didn't like the fact Trent had been allowed to run his contract down to this point [he's free to talk to other clubs at Christmas and can move for eff all in the summer] not to mention all this other stuff about Jude Bellingham being his best mate in footy etc etc. I think i said it didnt look good.
Honestly at this point I'll be more shocked if he stays, if he does decide to go, because there wont be a transfer fee involved [or just a nominal one] his wages are going to be absolutely ridiculous. His advisors must be telling him unless Liverpool come up with a massive new pay package then its in his best interests to leave next summer.
To be fair the prospect of being paid an absolute fortune to play alongside the likes of Bellingham, Mbappe, Vinicus jnr etc etc for a club who are serial CL winners must be tempting for any pro footballer. especially when you know we'll be doing our usual looking for bargains in the transfer market shtick.
I might be talking shyte here but i've sort of had the feeling his heart hasnt been in it for a little while now as well, like his head is already half out the door.

It definitely does look very appealing for him, playing for top club in Europe, who'll most likely dominate La liga for few years. Great wages, superb climate and a close pal over there.

Trent will be 26 this October so for him I guess it is an ideal opportunity for the next chapter in his career.

It wouldn't surprise me at all if he left.

Shades of Owen leaving when Rafa came….. and we went and won the CL without him!

It's not just Trent though, there are a few others whose contracts are running out. Virgil, Salah, Trent, they all either need to sign a new contract or get sold in this window. It won't be great losing them but not even getting money for them is just a luxury we can't afford.

How the feck have we allowed us to get in a position where Trent has 12 months on this contract??

yeah thats a fook up alright, Christmas is not that far away, only 4 or 5 months and if he wants he can sign a pre-contract agreement with another club.
