Absolutely.. Berbatov is so much better than keane.
He can dribble.. can run fast, can head, can draw defenders away..
Most importantly can score in premiere league.
Only an idiot would think otherwise... then again in the transfer market Rafa doesn't seems to be wearing his thinking cap when buying players. Honestly.. no different than Houllier just that fans want to think he is better in the transfer market.. Can't argue with that, it is their own business.. cheers.

I would not take berbatov because of his attitude thats the difference between him and keane .

I agree.  Berbatov's attitude absolutely stinks and I'll never forget his disrespect towards Martin Jol near the end of his reign at Spurs.  Disgraceful.

Personally I wouldn't want him here.  Class player no doubt, and before I knew more about his attitude, I was crying out for us to sign him from Leverkusen on here a couple of seasons ago.  I don't think Benitez is the man to get the best out of Berbatov though, and I hate to say it but Ferguson who is more of a man manager just might be.

Berbatov is World class.  The guy scores and creates so many goals.  Would take him over Keane everytime.  Only one of them will be sold as Spurs wont let both go.  Keane seems happy at spurs so looks like it will be berbatov.

You'd take any foreigner over British or Irish players though, you would.  :glare:

I'll take my chances mate.

Not deliberately being controversial either, just my opinion.  Benitez avoids players that aren't hard workers, Berbatov is probably the laziest player in the league (despite being one of the most skilful).  I just don't see them working together.

I agree with that, its pretty plain to see Benitez looks for hardworking players first, then if they come with all the extras, the flair and pace all the more better. If not, you've got Kuyt, I have a hunch that Degen is gonna turn out like another "worker/grafter" who runs alot.  :D

generally he does but then Babel isn't the most hard-working of players. If he goes on a run and runs straight into a defender (which happens more often than i'd like) he'll sit on the floor, slowly gets up then (possibly) starts walking back, often being out of position for the next attack. I think he could be a good player but this won't happen until he increases his work rate- or is more effective in the work rate he produces! He plays the sulky striker role- only forgetting he's actually on the wing!

If they're better than the British or Irish players wouldn't you? Surely it's about what is best for the club and not where the players come from?

Regarding Berbatov and Keane they are both good players, and it is always difficult to say which players will adapt to a new club and its playing style the best. I'm undecided as they offer different things and will trust Rafa in this matter (though I hardly think we could afford Berbatov anyway, as he seems to be the more expensive player out of the two).

Elisha Scott on YNWA is saying it's almost done. This lad has a good track record with being spot on with transfers in the past . We'll just have to wait and see i suppose.
