Anyone fancy putting it to a poll? Straight Barry vs Bullard, I would but when I tried this internet wouldn't let me stating multiple part posting or something like that. I hope it doesn't stop me posting stats as well......................:D

How old's Bullard? I wouldn't mind having the guy. He's a class above everyone else at Fulham. Certainly if we'd save £10m on him and he's only 2/3 years older than Barry, I wouldn't mind...

Gareth Barry wants to join Liverpool in the summer, according to the Aston Villa captain's agent.

Liverpool have made the England international a leading transfer target and have already had one bid rejected by their Premier League rivals.

Villa boss Martin O'Neill is determined to ward off any further interest in the 27-year-old, who has spent his entire career with the club.

But Barry's agent Alex Black says the player has held talks with O'Neill to outline his desire to play UEFA Champions League football.

Black also intimated that Barry is keen to discuss a move to Liverpool after making almost 400 appearances for Villa.

"Gareth has spoken to Martin since he returned from England's game in Trinidad and told him how he feels," Black told The :censored:.

"At this stage of his career Gareth wants to be playing Champions League football and believes this is his chance to do it."

Reds skipper Steven Gerrard recently admitted that he is 'desperate' for his good friend to join him at Anfield.
looks like barry,s starting to make waves at villa, cant blame him as this is probable his one and only big chance to join a top club.                                                                                                                                      got this from sky sports.

30, I didn't realise he was that old. Barry is a year older than Alonso (26-27) if I'm not mistaken, he's certainly not worth four times what Bullard is

According to Manhattan's sources, Gareth Barry wants to leave Martin O'Neill.

He has cited "irreconcilible differences" and the court will rule on who gets custody of John Carew.

Good point, however the info is there to see and seek for himself and its pretty hard to miss the feelings of pretty much all Liverpool supporters when it comes to that rag of a newspaper (news?).
He should type in Hillsbrough on google and see for himself.

Anyway, Barry will be joining us within the week I reckon. Also our future player got a hattrick today   :eyebrow

It gets even funnier :-

BARRY WILL COST KOP £20M

MARTIN O’NEILL will not allow Gareth Barry to leave Aston Villa – unless Liverpool come close to reaching the £20m barrier for the England international.

Aston Villa boss O’Neill confirmed last night that Barry has made it clear he wants to leave Villa Park following discussions between the pair yesterday.

And he is now resigned to losing the influential midfielder before the start of next season’s Premier League campaign.

But the Ulsterman is determined to play hardball with Liverpool boss Rafa Benitez before granting the 27-year-old his wish to move to Anfield.

After returning from a stint as a BBC analyst at the Euro 2008 championships to speak in person with Barry yesterday, Villa confirmed in a statement that the midfielder had made it clear to O’Neill that he wants to end his 10-year stay with the club he joined as a kid.

The statement said: “Gareth Barry has stated in discussions with our manager that he would like to leave Aston Villa to join Liverpool, but Liverpool’s bid for the player has been rejected and Liverpool have been informed.”

Liverpool’s latest offer of £12m has been rejected out of hand, following Benitez’s opening gambit of £10m plus Steve Finnan, Jermaine Pennant and John Arne Riise. Villa are demanding a straight cash deal.
