Daniel alves to red men? - £8million bid on table.

Liverpool Football Club - The Rumour Mill

Postby GLB1 » Fri Jun 30, 2006 4:37 am

On most of the Rumour mills it says we have offered 13.8 Mill with us willing to go to a Max of 16 Mill for Villa. Reminds me a bit like Owen and Madrid. Sign him for 8 mill then double their money in a year. I'm sure even Valencia would see this a a great bit of business.

Again, Crossing my fingers but not holding my breathe.

Sorry for the crappy translatation, but here goes.

http://www.as.com/articulo/futbol/Solo/for...sdaiftb_22/Tes/

30.06.2006

ONLY THE MODE OF PAYMENT RESTRAINS THE ALVES SALE The Liverpool has accepted to invest 15 million euros MORE CLOSE. The sale of Daniel Alves to the Liverpool is only to expenses of the mode of payment. (MORENATTI) TO EXTEND 30.06.2006 IT INTERESTS TO YOU? TITO GLEZ. Culebrón of the summer in Seville does not finish clarifying itself. The exit of Daniel Alves way of Liverpool seems to never take shape. When it seemed all fact I cool off until ends that made be in danger the operation and now it seems that the parts return to approach. The economic amounts follow fixed to the 15 million euros. In particular, the British would pay 13 and the rest would be based on objectives to mark. The hispalense picture wishes to increase the fixed one but it seems complicated that the Reds increases the amount. Now, nevertheless, the great problem is the mode of payment. That point is the one that it has paralyzed the operation. Seville already had assimilated the march of the Brazilian but not anyway. For that reason, in that point they are the negotiations. But it seems clear that any obstacle will be surpassed due to the insistence of Rafa Benítez. The Spanish technician dreams about having to Alves for the position of right interior and all the data that handle on him are magnificent. The trainer has even asked for information mainly the surroundings of the player and their behavior outside game lands and these could not have been more satisfactory. Thus, in addition to the interest by their great game the rest of facets of Alves is united. Thus the operation could be closed at any time. However, it is clear that the British will not increase the amount offered since also they need a new forward after the loss Cissé and the sale from Morientes to the Valencia. At the moment, they yesterday closed without cost some to lateral left the ex- valencianista Fabio Aurelio.

English Translation: The Deal to bring Alves to Anfield is even closer and it will be closed in the next week. Liverpool have offered 13 millioneuros up front for Alves and 2 million more in incentives on apperances. Sevilla want 15 million euros up front. Benitez needs his extra quid for Dirk Kuyt.

from koptalk:

Spanish outfit Sevilla have accepted a bid from Liverpool for Daniel Alves following weeks of negotiations.

We understand that Liverpool have agreed to fork out approximately £10.5million for the player.

Although a fee has been agreed, further negotiations are ongoing as regards how that money will be paid with Sevilla wanting a decent advance payment. The rest would be paid in instalments.

Once they agree the finer details the deal should be pushed through in no time.

Sounds like we are still after him. Hopefully he can put pressure on them to lower their price. At least he says he wants to come.

I seriously hope we can wrap Alves' signing up and concentrate on a top striker within the next week.

WIth him, Gonzalez, Aurelio and Bellamy, we'll be f*cking deadly on the counter-attack next season.  :nod

This is a week old , (only just spotted it on a yahoo sports page) It would seem that Rafa has a plan b if the Alves move doesn't happen.

" Liverpool have turned their attention to Ajax right-back Hatem Trabelsi with their bid for Sevilla's Daniel Alves on the verge of collapsing.Trabelsi, who played for Tunisia in this summer's World Cup in Germany, is available on a free transfer and has attracted the interest of a number of Premiership clubs"

He's not a bad player but not good enough for us, Pennant is 10 times the player!

Can't say I know the player Paul, but surely Pennant can't be 10 times better? There were linesman at the world cup who showed more skill  :D  .

Perhaps the fact that Trabelsi is available on a free has perked Rafa's interest ?
