i like the young welsh lad jack collison.
Well worth a look imo.
Cole would be a decent signing but would cost far too much.
Noble isnt a bad player either, not really good enough for us but better than Lucas who starts every week.

I think Tompkins will be an excellent centre half. That position along with goalkeepers are the two in which players really develop with experience. He reminds me a bit of a young Tony Adams, and I'd buy him all day for a sensible fee (£6 million and under). If you were stashed with cash (I know, put the razor blades down) you could even buy him and loan him back.

Carlton Cole is a good striker, but what they'd want for him is out of kilter with what you'd get. You'd pay a similar amount for him as you would for Darren Bent now, and I'd like a fiver on whether or not Cole would have got 25 goals playing for Sunderland this season. In fact, if you stuck Darren Bent into West Hams team, they'd probably be top 10 as well.

cool. he's available.

its a shame that after being such a wonderful he didn't succeed at west ham, but maybe he's just too nice a guy to manage successfully.

Gutted for Zola, one of the true class acts in football. Did you see him on SSN today? Reporters were outside waiting on his gate hoping for comments, he came out with a tray, several cups of coffee and a jug of milk for the journos, politely declined to comment and went back into his house. Top top fella for me and I think they've made a mistake. Did anyone see the reaction of the players after Parker scored the goal to keep West Ham up the other week? They absolutely mobbed him. Maybe he was a bit too nice for the job but it's rare to see players so supportive of a manager. He just needs some more time to get the balance right.
