So is this place gonna return to being a half-decent place to talk football again or will all the usual sniping, snide comments and flame wars continue?

Be nice to talk sum footy for a change.

it will be a better place if some understand that kenny can not walk in and make it work right away, he needs new players to fix problems made over the last 3 years.

some are going to think he can do it with the team he has right now and thats not going to happend.

why is he taking a new team in with him? the side we have dont have the skill to do that.

The players we have are a lot better than what we have seen this season. Kenny will have the automatic respect of every player, will defend them to the hilt from outsiders, have the respect of nearly all the supporters and is a far better manager than Roy, therefore there will be an improvement in the performance and results.

you cant say that, Torres could not lift his game for god right now.
the english players will play better under him, but i bet there are some players in our club that no nothing of kenny.

got to feel for sammy lee, looks like he is out of the door, Ian Rush is going to take his place.

its sad when in todays football its not enough for players to just wear the liverpool jersey to get a decent game out of them.

A lot of our players need to sort there lives out or they can feck off as well... we need a team, not egofilled eejits.

roy would be perfect for England, hes a great manmager for teams lacking ability and drive... nah. he needs a team with no egos... Villa or West Ham perfect for him

Thanks dude, I did pop in for a browse a few times but it seemed to be nmore of the same! Am sure things will improve from here on in, both on the pitch and in this place!

I'm certainly not expecting any miracles from Kenny given the terrible start we've made but it's good to know Liverpool fans can claw back some identity now that the Hodgson debacle is over. I can understand why the owners were deliberating but it's the right decision and obviously the BIG decision needs to be made in the summer when hopefully we can explore ALL possibilities and get the right man in for the long-term future of the club. I'm hoping they give Kenny a bit of money to spend this month, he always had a good eye for a transfer and I don't care hpow long he's been out of management, that's not something you lose.

Watch Torres tomorrow, bet he scores. I can half understand Torres' attitude, playing for a manager that you have no faith in, seeing yet another season pass him by and no chance of cl football next season, it's a huge amount of your football life.

I'm pretty confident that all the players know about Kenny, but more importantly the players, all of them, have no more excuses, the ownership looks stable, the fans are united, and the man at the helm will have the confidence of all the main players.

The equation is simple for me, same players+ better manager= better performance
