Not much!

Thats why you haven't got about 50 threads..and thats about Rooney alone.

Of course you're not bothered; just keep telling yourself that.

If you're not interested, why even look at this thread?

I am sick of hearing people slag the lad, he is an amazing footballer, and people should give him a break.

Was he such an @rsehole in the summer during Euro2004 when you where dancing round the pub when he scored for England?

Didn't think so.

You started a thead on the spanish lads taking off their armbands and how they needed a word in the ear yet that fat scumbag blatantly flings his to the ground and it is down to his agent ???

Two totally different incidents.

The spanish boys took their armbands off during a game, pretty early on when it seemed to me they did not like the fact that they had to wear them. This is disrespectful, as in this country, we wear armbands on the field of play during a game as a mark of respect to people, in this case the mighty Emlyn, who have been taken from us. I was upset with the attitude of the players in that they felt they were inconvinient.

Rooney (stupidly) took his off moments before leaving the pitch as he was angry with his own display, p1ssed off with being subbed, and the emotion of the event got the better of him. It was not meant as an insult, simply the relase of anger of a worked up young man. The arm band would have been removed once he got into the dug out/changing room. If you want to have a go at England players' performances midweek, look no further than Backham, Lampard, Butt. At least Rooney was willing and wanted to put the effort in. I would rather players tried their heart out for my club.

I am sick of the attitude of the press in this country where they build a young footballer up, only to satisfy their need to knock him down.

Face facts, this city has produced, once again, an amazing footballing talent, as we have done with Fowler and Mcmanaman, and we need to feel proud, and encourage him.

Once again his heart fell on the blue side of the city, and unfortunatley this time he was swayed to much by his family and remained an evertonian.

He decided to move on to further his carear, and his options where Man Utd and Newcastle. I think he chose the right option, despite what I think of that club and its following.

I am sick of the pathetic total hatred of all things Man U and Everton. As a Liverpool fan, I too have the same feelings, but having been educated in all things football standing on the Spion Kop, I can also appreciate good players teams and people, even if they are from those particular teams.

Wayne Rooney is an excellent player, and he will go on to be a trult great one. I wish him luck.
