Tottenham are winning 4-0 and apparently Keane scored one and had a big hand in the other three. If only we could have had someone who could do that when we played Middlesboro.

Hindsight is a wonderful thing.

Hindsight is a wonderful thing Mick, and had nobody doubted the handling of keane, nor the subsequent sale without replacement, it could all be dismissed as hindsight.
As we know though, that is hardly the case as some people posted about little else for weeks before Keane's departure. Nor is it "ooh aren't I clever" scenario, as you didn't exactly have to be a football genius to realise that to try and go the rest of the season with only one viable striker was at best a huge gamble, and at worst an absolutely ridiculous decision.
Of course with the benefit of hindsight we now know the gamble has failed in spectacular fashion. No sooner had Keane walked out the door than BOTH Gerrard and Torres got injured. There is some hindsight there I'll grant you, but very little surprise.
It's one thing having no viable replacement at right back, and at left midfield (although the right back slot has been a smidge of a problem as well, is wishing we had Steve Finnan as back up hindisght?), but you can't go through 1/3 of the season with only one striker. No hindsight there mate, just common sense.
