Yes they've given him a huge contract, which is probably a good thing as far as we're concerned becasue you could have bet a pound to a penny on that he would have turned up at Man City, or even the absolute nightmate scenario back At Chelsea. At Man City I would have backed him to make them serious challengers for the top four in his first season, at Chelsea God only knows. We're far better off with him staying in Italy, although I wouldn't share Dawsons glee about drawing them overly once he's been there a bit longer. No doubt they've got a fairly formiddable Home record.

I haven't checked it, but presumeably they didn't lose a league game at Home or it would have been in the press. Mourinho's teams generally don't.

No doubt Madrid wouold like him Nan, but I doubt they'd get him. They'll probably have to get somebody. My guess is that by now the players are well and truly over the babyfood and wondering if their name is going to come out of the hat each week to see if they'll play. What Madrid need, is a manager who can take whatever Juande Ramos has achieved, and make a complete mockery of it. They are going to need to improve by somewhere in the region of 150%. They should forget about Mourinho and give Harry Redknapp a ring.

Setanta is saying the Makelele has written that John Terry got Mourinho the sack. If Chelsea put a player (A scumbag one at that) over such a sucessful manager, they deserve to lose the status they had as the best team in England.

The irony of the scumbag slipping when he just had to slot in a penalty to win the european cup isn't lost on anybody.

Abromovich - you muppet!

In life, you are right

In football, it is about winning

I'd rather not win the league than win it with Maureen.

He takes away all the thanks the players should get when they win, but when they lose he is never to blame.

Wanna get his lot next season in CL and spank 'em silly

I could live with having Josie as manager, but only if he won the league.

As a person he is an arrogant cunt and typifies someone who is used to winning, but also a sore loser, with his lack of grace and humility. I bet fergie only offered congratulations and said the better team won on Wednesday because he knew his sour grapes would only be headlines in every European newspaper and on every European TV (anyone following our domestic football will know what he's like anyway)

Cheers Eff, no big surprises there. I'd be amazed if they don't win the league next season as well, and I wouldn't be surprised to see a serious tilt at the Champions League as well. Surely though someone must be able to beat a Mourinho team on their own patch in the league sometime. I think that's nine seasons now in three seperate countries without losing one, unbelieveable really.

Amazing record, it really is and one that i dont think anyone else can match.

But i disagree about them having a shot at the champions league. They were comprehensively beaten by united despite the score and we beat them home and away the previous year.

Best in italian definately, but only a last 8 team in europe, sort of like Lyon in France.

No "hard ons" Daws, just an appreciation of a top football achievement. I know there are factions within the forum which desperately try and dampen down any impartial look at such things, presumeably because they are of the opinion that by comparison our own managers achievements have been slightly more modest, but that's OK.

"Hard ons" is Ok though. I've been accused of a lot worse on here with regards to Mourinho  :) .

I just can't see past Mourinho being an absolutely horrible man.
When Chelsea were winning all he talked about was himself, yet when they lost he put them in the spotlight... hes a disgrace of aman who would ruin our history and id rather not win than have him as our manager...

Also, i have no diea how teams never lose at home with him as manager, at Chelsea he was actually a pretty awful manager.. whenever his team was losing he liked to bung Huth on up front... dunno how he gets away with it!
