He is nothing like them!!! He is the first on the pitch when his team wins. No one even rememebrs a chelsea playing well when they won the league, all anyone rememebrs is that idiot running on the pitch or sliding on his knees. He is everything that is bad about football.

I disagree, the vast majority of UK football managers are Billy No-characters praying to hold onto their jobs or plain idiots like MacLaren.  Maureen is in a different league as manager and character. He´s a pro who purposely upsets people to gain an advantage.

It's good in the short term. Not in the long term.

Perhaps he sees he cannot win the CL with Mourinho? Maybe he simply can't stand Mou?

He is just interesting in winning the ballon D'or. Personally I dont think he is all he is made out to be. I don't think any other club will be willing to pay him as much as he is getting now.

I sense political correctness? Winning is winning, both mentioned managers recognise/ed that.

Maureen is focused on a single objective, sees the big picture and employs a variety of methods to achieve it - just like Rafa.

sorry mate but forget PC that is where you are so wrong imho, the difference is that ALL people in football wether it be neutral's -other football managers, etc EVERYONE  respected shanks, for his passion, knowledge, respect of everthing in football the fans what it meant to the fans, what it meant to the players to be privaliged enough to play for the club he managed etc.

maureen will never ever have that sort of repect, by other teams, fans managers that shanks had & never should he either!

shanks built his team around players he really believed in,respected, & motivated to believe their were the best- because of him no-one else, no fecking open cheque book, no fecking ego's he bought players who he KNEW  would pay him back for showing faith in them! no fecking single objective, he told players they were signing for the greatest team in the world, not the team that was going to pay them the greatest amount of money!

to even mention maureen & shanks in the same breth is so wrong, that it's PS bu11sh1t!

I take the opposite view.

I think comparing Mourinho in anyway to beckham (the anna kournikova of football) is an insult to Mourinho.

He is a great manager (lost one home game in the league in his whole career). He won the european cup with Porto for crying out loud.

The man is a legend.
