Capello should have kept his trap shut but you would be mental as a Liverpool fan not to be concerned with Carroll. Dalglish will back his players in public but truth is he probably has the same thoughts as Capello behind the scenes. We have taken on a right job with this lad and frankly paying that was bonkers, it surely has no justification, a panic buy if ever there was one. Truth is Carroll will never justify that fee, even if he does sort himself out, but you just hope and pray we get something in return, good steady service at a minimum, but at this point you wouldnt put money on it to be honest.

Anyway, I have to say he really can't be in the wrong for saying Carroll needs to work harder and fix his lifestyle to become the professional we know he can be.  He needs to be more private about it, tho if he's maybe already talked to Carroll and Carroll hasn't listened very well then I guess this puts more pressure on him to be doing what he needs to do.

getting a bit of discussion of Five Live. Nothing too much said about it, asking how Capello knows how much Carroll drinks and why he's speaking to the media about a private conversation. They're being quite sympathetic towards Carroll, saying Capello certainly won't be helping him and should have kept it behind closed doors.
