Should we not close this thread? At least until or unless he comes back?

That was a desperate attempt to try and force another club to come forward with a sensible offer. Guess what nobody did and is that really surprising! Two league goals against awful teams was Andy's record in the second half of the season and that's when we all agreed that he was improving!

Sorry Thommo I find it hard to get over the fact that we spent £35m on a player who for fifteen months was possibly one of the worst players I have ever seen wearing a Liverpool shirt. If that wasn't bad enough his fitness and attitude also left a lot to be desired. It is abundantly obvious that this lad was told to shape up or fk off. He improved but his two league goals against shight opposition during the second half of the season weren't quite enough to save him!

What did he actually do during pre season that caused BR to publicly state that he could leave the club? Clearly he didn't impress his new boss.

Anyway I'm off to watch Andy score a few for that tw.at Alladyce

as i have always said about him, he is more that just a head.
he had some great games for us, still shocked we let him out on loan....even more so when we are finding goals hard to get.

Carroll already looks like a beast after 1/2.

I once described the fella as a "sack of spuds" and fair play to him on the limited opportunies he's had he's gradually changed my opinion. There's a player inside Andy Carroll, unfortunately it doesn't look like our manager can or want's to use it. I'm convinced  Carroll has a big future working with a manager that shows some belief in him.

West Ham 3-0 up, commentator says the opposition look terrified of Carrol.

The decision to let him go is increasingly unfuckingbelievable.

Watching the match. Besides the first minute Carroll flick on (which we know he can do), I really don't see how he's having an amazing game. Still made no decent runs, no ability on the ball. I think we're shitting ourselves because we're a bit nervous, but he's not been great.

The fact that we need 2 extra attacking players and quality upfront - well hopefully we can hold up until January and then get reinforcements, but yeah, not an ideal position to be in.
