I intend too

I see Adam Johnson released a statement saying next season he wants more games for City - I'm guessing those wages were too good to give up

it shows him to be stubborn and id bet that his signings will feature every week regardless of whether they perform or not.

You mean like how Downing and Henderson were constantly playing week in and week out despite doing fk all last season while Bellamy, Sterling and Maxi sat on the bench?  ???

If hes prepared to let one of our best players go then he had better be working miracles because he will lose the patience of many sooner rather then later

one of our best players?  Andy Carroll??

dont see why you need to have a pop at the last manager when you should be hoping that rodgers doesnt make the same mistakes.

love this notion that henderson did "f#ck all" last season. a season when he was played out of position for the majority in a side that was hardly setting the world alight.

typical fan view which sums up why england will never win anything. if he's not spraying hollywood balls, diving into tackles or peppering shots from 25 yards people think he isn't contributing. they should actually go and watch the kid play every once in a while.

he'll never get the credit he deserves from some because he's not a "highlights player" as i like to call them. he's not flash, just like multiple league winning carrick and current league champion barry, both of whom hardly scored or made a goal between them last season but were still vital parts of their respective sides.

I don't see why you needed to have a pop at BR when he hasn't made a single signing yet, and everything that's being circulated around is by media who just wish to get sensational headlines.

To use a well worn footie phrase, 'at the end of the day' Rodgers is going to do what he wants in regards to playing style and selection.

Those suggesting that our manager knows NOTHING about Carroll are deluding themselves.  He will know EVERYTHING there is to know about the lad, both from match preparations and his scouts who will have watched him play over the years.  In fact, Rodgers will have pages of notes on almost EVERY player in the league, so i trust him if he thinks that big Andy is best moved on to another club.

In Rodgers we trust.   :buttrock

Really ? His actions seem to confirm what I'm saying though.

What's the latest inside knowledge ( that turns out to not happen )

I'll let you know when I've spoke to him...  this Saturday as it happens, at his Mams house. It's his birthday and we're all piling up there.

Benny is a contrarian... you say black he says white.

Having said that i do see his point with Carroll.... he needs to be given a chance next season to show what he can do. His form really did improve towards the end of the season. To let him go now would be premature. Its been well documented from the moment Rodgers joined the club that this left Carroll's future uncertain, but its quite possible that he may be able to improve his technique and adapt to Rodgers style of play (personally i dont think he can as he doesn't possess the basic skillset on the floor or mobility) and only seeing him in his set up can tell us if he can.

As for Rodgers - the trust will happen when the actions start to happen and we get positive results until then he is still very unproven and very in expirenced.

Rodgers has a long long way to go yet and I'm still very wary about having him look after everything when there is no proven track record to suggest it will work.

Rodgers ideas and plans could go horribly wrong or they could click - so far we can't judge either way.

Currently he is being judged on what he is saying and at times they are encouraging and very respectful but at times very niave and maybe a bit of arrogance. Let's hope the words are backed up.
