What's the odds on him doing a Fowler style line snort celebration for his first goal?

bloody hope not, theres a chance that he could come out and say some like , I have always loved liverpool and kenny was my hero and i always had a liverpool arm band on when playing for the toons.

i am sure if he did the toon fans would get the joke and laugh with us.

It's not one of those expected marquee, big name signings like Kaka, Eto'o et al that you'd associate a price of 36 million, is it? However, that's what intrigues me the most about it. It's the kind of signing Ferguson would do, we'd all laugh our balls off at the cost, and a few months later the lad would be banging the goals in and steering them to another big trophie. Not a fanciful name, but a piece of a cog that fits into a well refined machine. It's what's made them so successful IMO. I've always been an advocate of it being about the 'right' player, rather than the 'big' player. That's the sense of what I get of what Dalglish is doing with us now. He's not going exotic; he's going with what will work for the benefit of the team and I'm at ease with it because I trust him. In a month or so, maybe less, we could all be looking back at the one man superstar strike force at the tip of our spear with pale comparison to what we've just landed and we'll never look back

That's an insult. Because he cracked someone, was it? All Dunk had was a flick on. This lad is 10 times the player he was and far younger.  :no

Essentially the lads a target man, a springboard for the others to feed off high up the field. I understand hes got more than in his locker but if we get people around him hes the link to all our attacking play. I personally like the idea of him the centre of 3 in a 4-3-3 formation going forward that falls to a loose 4-5-1 when we run back. Some may call it old fashioned footy but a big unit up top holding the ball and feeding off is a winning combo and hard to deal with at any level of the game.

Made up we signed this boy. Soon I saw him at the start of the season I thought he looked a real handful, would be a great signing, but couldnt see it happening. Don't want to get carried away but he could be better than shearer. Hes stronger, faster and scores more from outside the box. Old Alan though was a model pro and absolutely clinical! Hopefully kenny can improve him in that way.

A lot has been made of the money. Yes its too much but he's only just 22 and English. We've paid for his future potential. He's miles better overall than bent so I don't see that argument. Furthermore he only would have been more expensive in the summer when the other big clubs would have gone in for him. And what's each final place worth in the league come June? His goals will cement us in the top 5 and earn the club many more millions.

Finally, for the first time since keane left two years ago, we finally have a proper stike force again. I can't believe we relied on one crock for so long. No wonder we fell out of the top 4. We also finally have some muscle presence up top for the fist time since heskey! :D :D

Exactly, It is the kind of signing he would make, that is why Kenny and Ferguson are cut from the same cloth except Kenny is shrewder and a nice man.
