yeah the fee is ridiculous

but wages are always overlooked when talking about outlay

like id imagine carrolls wages are half what torres would be, so overall you save a great deal

like joe cole eg, probaly on 100k a week, over 4 years costs us near 18 million, add a sign on fee and over 20 million......and he was a free

the sooner the better for me get the lad on the pitch and show what he can do in a red shirt

would have loved it if he was able to play against the chavs and scored the winner straight after torres limped off with a broken finger nail

I want to one of the magpies forum and they were complaining Carroll left for money and apparently his wages increased by 5 times, which would put him on 150k per week? Surely that can't be true.

And they believe it's bull :censored: that he was pushed out the door and that this transfer happened because both Carroll and Ashley benefitted from it and they just publicly blamed one another just to save face...

I'm happy we have a Geordie at Liverpool. I have my own little link now :D

Stevie Heighway on the wing
We had dreams and songs to sing

yes he was ridiculously overpriced but i can't get my head around fans who are still whinging about this deal. at the end of the day they were moaning about the last owners for not spending and now these guys are throwing some money about they're still whinging about them spending too much.

true Mick. Come the summer at least some areas have been addressed. Depends on our kitty for the summer I guess, plus we hae a lot of deadwood to ship out so I think we'll be ok for then as well, plus we'll have more time to actually chase who we want and plan things rather than last time transfer requests (yes Judas, I'm looking at you! )
