Right lets compare Henderson and Shelvey

Long passes - Henderson 9.2%    Shelvey 12.6%
Passing Accuracy - Henderson 82.4 %   Shelvey 79.7
Passes per game - Henderson 39.8   Shelvey 25.7
Total crosses -      Henderson 69    Shelvey 6
Shot assists -       Henderson 27     Shelvey 4

Shelvey has played less matches, but even so he's still contributed more than Henderson has.

The major problem with any club forum (or club tv station) is you don't get accuracy. You get bias, you get a rose tinted perspective. Its akin to asking a mother to give her view on her child... "my boy wouldn't do that" type thing, as opposed to someone impartial. This and every club forum is full of this.

My comments on andy carroll are closer to being accurate than almost anyone on this site. You won't get a soul outside the little bubble (that many of our fans don't step out of) that says anything different.

I was listening to the panel on the radio discussing the England squad for the summer.. not only did he not get a look in but he didnt get mentioned. He wasn't a consideration. This an England squad that barely has a decent striker to its name, and a player whom we paid 35 million for doesn't get a comment. This was an independent panel, impartial...accurate. Incidentally Peter Crouch was one of the strikers chosen.

When i use the term donkey... that wrongly implies i think hes worthless. I have repeatedly stated his true worth, 12m. Hes a 3rd tier forward... he is being outshone by 2nd tier forwards such as Jelavic, who technique-wise is on a different level. At the very best he is an option for us to come off the bench late on when all else has failed.. had we signed a 2nd tier forward, such as Jelavic, he wouldn't be getting a kick.

P.s - D_C in the recent game that involved both Jelavic and Carroll , one of them scored the winning club to take their club to the final.

Henderson more passes better passing accuracy more passes per game alot more crosses and more shot assists. OK if you take into consideration games played you can still compare there Passing accuracy passes per game which Henderson has won

i honestly dont know how you can accurately compare a player who has played 37 games =3219 minutes to a player who has played 9 games and 368 minutes.
dont know where you got those stats from but here they are from a reliable source that is the offal.
http://www.liverpoolfc.tv/team/first-team/statistics
shelveys stats are impressive and far outweighs henderson in a lot of areas.naturally henderson has had more crosses, assists due to playing on the wing and being a regular 1st teamer.

henderson                             attack                                      shelvey.
   3                                          goals                                           0.
   0                                     penalty goals                                    0.
1073                                 mins per goal                                     0.
8.8%                              conversion rate                                    0.0%.
13                            total shots on target                                   5.
21                            total shots off target                                  4.
38.2%                      shooting accuracy                                    55.6%.
21                              successful crosses                                    1.
113                          unsuccessful crosses                                   5.
15.7%                     successful crosses %                                   16.8%.
4                                   assists                                                0.
78                          chances created                                         4.
5                                  offsides                                              0.
those are the attacking stats for both and below is the general stats.

1643                               passes                                        231.
81.2%                            accuracy                                     80.1%.

116                             duels won                                      21.
144                             duels lost                                       15.
44.6%                          duels won %                                  58.3%.
16                          aerial duels won                                  6.
24                          aerial duels lost                                   2.
40%                        aerial duels won %                              75%.
316                         recoveries                                        30.

there is enough there to make me believe that had shelvey played 25 games say to hendo's 37,he'd have absolutely wiped the floor with him.
jonjo would have been a mvp for us this season if played and his only fault is that he didnt cost £20 and he wasnt kennys signing.

No one's pointed out how sh*t Andy is for at least 2 days. If we're not careful, this thread wont be a 'Hot Topic' anymore! Already had to scroll down to find it.

And Andy Carroll ??? Good to see that Andy is working hard to change opinion.Don't think either of us shared the view a few months ago that he had a future at Liverpool.

Needless to say, when Raheem put in that quality pass toward the geordie i expected nothing..and got nothing.

Big andy doesn't disappoint me because i expect nothing from him.
