Trying to work out the math?

Say we had 30 million to spend in this window

-22 million for Suarez
+6 million for Babel
+50 million for Torres
-35 million for Carrol
-8 million for Adam

So we still have 21 million to spend?

Carroll will be ok as long as he's given the service. Too early to be talking about a Toshack/Keegan repeat. That said if Suarez does play in the hole and can feed him it should be interesting times ahead.

No one really knows how much we spent on Carroll, I don't believe it was for 35m and it has yet to be officially released either. Newcastle just trying to save face with all the transfer request and the emphasis on them NOT wanting to do the deal and it was too much to not accept etc etc. No way we paid 35m.

I cant believe people are complaining about the price of Carroll! I think it's great that our new owners are not afraid to splash out.Ok granted he is not worth £35 m but if bent is worth 24 we should be happy enough!
Not as if we are leaving ourselves broke.....NESV have plenty more what came from!

that was just an added bonus mate.

and dont worry you wont be paying for Carroll either.

So long as his transfer isnt affecting other players coming in then the fee isnt really that important.

Welcome Andy mate wasnt best pleased about how much we paid, however ive warmed to it now someone brought up the wages argument. Im convinced youll be a star and maybe just mayeb you will be loyal .

Carroll + Suarez = Toschack + Keegan maybe
