meh, I'm just a snob am i?

No, I believe you should pay for what you can, not hold out for handouts all the time like most of this country does.

I work hard for my money (honest, sometimes I do actually work) and I'm sick of seeing it being pumped into the hands of the lazy fat slobs of this country.

As for Thatcher, grow up and lvie in the 21st Century, Conservatives are not what they were.

We cant live in another Labour government, just look at the streets, the crime, the economic state of the country, everythng is f*cked

dawson - i would swap a packet of chocolate hobnobs for a go on her in your sig!  Much more appealing than that other thing you used to have, you know...the geek with no sexually redeeming qualities who was as thin as a wisp and twice as pallid. And a gob like a parish oven.

This one is hot though   :eyebrow

You see your product of Thatcher daws. You are the i'm all right jack ,so feck you generation . This post of yours proves it . So everyone that needs help is a fat dosser are they , so because you work hard and earn your crust you don't want to help anyone else with your taxes or national insurance . Like i say thatcher did a great job .

As for growing up Daws , i did my growing up in the 80's in Liverpool mate , so i know first hand what thatcherism is all about . I also know that this coservative party and it's leader are just the same as she was and the day they get into power will be a very sad day for this country.

I don't wanna get in trouble here, but you saying I'm a snob, but you are the complete opposite. You are the stereotypical scouser from the 80s, hating everything, probably watching Ben Elton and nodding in agreement.

just tell me, have Labour improved the following in the last 10 years:

health care
jobs
pensions
immigration
employment
economic stability
crime

Or, has Labour left this country in total dissaray where no one wants to live here anymore? Where crime is rife, and arent the rich getting richer as it is?

Yeah I'm selfish, I want things to benefit me, but the point is that the things that benefit me benefit the whole country. And Labour aint doing that. So what if I don't like the majority of council dwellers. I do think they are (not all of them) a massive problem for the country, costing too much money. I just dont get how someone can have a concil house so dont pay half as muchas  the rest of us, but have 3 holidays, 5 kids, 2 plasma tvs, sky and all that

I like the cut of Clegg's gib - but he's got a cat in hell's chance.

Cameron is as archetypal an image of Thatcher as you can get - only she was upfront and b@llsy over her shady plans to decimate the Industrial heartland. This fella is more 'cute' - they [tories] need to be as well this time. People round here never will forget the legacy they left behind...

Brown? well, he's shot his whack - Labour need a new man at the helm. Unfortunately, there is no time for that to make any significant difference now. So the viable option is, The Conservatives. And god help us all

Might be ok down in the Home Counties though.....  :Oo:

Brown should be and is a spent force and should be run out of power, he was the chancellor of the exchequer ffs that oversaw the credit bubble to such an absurd extent, failed to see the bust coming, had to bail out banks and prop up ailing industries. WTF would anyone want to give that príck another crack of the whip?

If it was you or me, we would have been fired years ago!!

totally agree with lakes,

Reg I don't think Brown was the only leader in the world who couldn't spot the "GLOBAL RECESSION" and that was what it is, it isn't Britain's recession.Plenty of countries in the euro are mostly bankrupt through it and are getting helped out by the EU.I agree labour haven't done what they promised they would when they come in but which party does, we could do a lot worse.

Just let the Tories get in, pull the country back into recession, get the unemployed to the depths of the early 80's and make you pay for your medical treatment and then we will see how bad it gets.

they SPOTTED it coming - irt was inevitable but to stop the merrygoround - put up interest rates, reduce shop sales is not good for VOTES. They kept the boom going from genuine cashflow to credit to junk loans and mortgages because they didnt have the courage to blow the whilstle.

Its all a matter of timing, they wanted to get past the election before the bust occured which of course didnt happen.

But lets not say we didnt know how massively over leveraged the economy, banks and Joe Public was......... becuase that simply aint true.

Why would unemployment go up massively under the tories, I dont get it??

unemployment would not go up massively under the tories it will go down, but only on paper, in fact most would  then be classed as part time workers.

lower wages will be the thing. more jobs will be gut but job share will be the things....taking home only a half wage.

happend a lot in 94.

I can't believe anyone could defend this government and try and frighten people by saying 'look at the 80's'. Well yes lets look at the 80's and all that came about because the country was in such a mess after the Labour  and Lib/Lab pact of the 70's. We were in such a mess it had to be put right.

Labour then inherited a sound economy with little debt in 97 and throughout all of the good years with strong growth around the world have taxed and spent as if there is no tomorrow and when the going got tough, yes' I agree global recession there was nothing left in the bank to get us out of the mess and our borrowing went through the roof and now we are back worse off than the end of the 70's

This mess needs to be brought under control and I am afraid that Labour will either tax us to tyhe hilt to do it or just bury their heads in the sand and keep spending and borrowing.

Can't vote for this shower of idiots we have in power now.

I actually agree with Thatcher.

Well you'll agree that she brought this city ,( you know the one in which the club you support is ) to it's feckin knees . She systematically destroyed working class communities all over the country and turned a society that once looked after the lesser off into a me me me money driven capatalist shIthole that hasn't recovered to this day . Whilst your wondering why there's hoodies rageing everywhere and the :censored: we have to put up with today . You can thank Thatcher for that , for creating the parents of the hoodies and yobs and smackheads and @rseholes and for people shutting there front doors behind them and not giving a toss what happens outside . You can thank thatcher for breaking up a whole generation of familes because there fathers ,sons and daughters had to traul around the country looking for work so they could send money home to help feed and clothe there families.

Thatcher was a witch and the Day she dies is the day i will have a horrendous amount of alchohol in celebration . Ever wonder why on the kop they still sing maggie maggie maggie, out out out.

Igor, I am from Liverpool and I work in manufacturing and lost my job when I was an apprentice in the 80's, yes is was bad for the city but so was that loony Derek Hatton. None of the parties are good for manufacturing, what has Labour done over the past 13 years, look at the steel industry, look at what happend to Rover, couldn't find a couple hundred mill to nationalize that but found billions for the banks.

You blame the tory gov of the 80's for todays society but conveniently forgetting the last 13 years and the creation of the benefit culture.

So anyone who does not agree with Brown is a bigot and anyone who doesn't want this government is a Thatcherite.

I am no Thatcherite, she did some good things for this country but also some bad things the same with Blair some good and some bad. I just do not see any good that has come from Browns term in charge. He was a cr@p Chancellor and he is a cr@p PM
