A LIVERPOOL man is accused of breaching a sexual offences prevention order by squeezing a teenage boy’s calf and thigh.

Akinwale Arobieke, 48, was described as having an “inappropriate, unhealthy and intrusive” interest in young men’s muscles.

A court was told yesterday that the 16-year-old was left feeling scared and uncomfortable following the alleged encounter in Llandudno, North Wales.

Arobieke, of Hornby Road, Walton, denied two counts of breaching his Sopo and is representing himself during the hearing at Mold crown court.

The order was imposed in February 2008 by magistrates in Liverpool after five years earlier Arobieke pleaded guilty at the city’s crown court to 15 counts of putting people in fear of violence.

Prosecutor Karl Scholz said the victims had all been young men whose muscles the defendant had felt and who he “required to bear his weight so he could assess their strength”.

The conditions of the Sopo bans him from feeling muscles in public places or associating with or approaching under 18s.

Mr Scholz said the alleged incident in Llandudno meant Arobieke was in breach of the order.

He told the court: “His past reveals what can only be described as an inappropriate, unhealthy and intrusive interest in the muscles of young men.”

Mr Scholz said Arobieke first asked the teenager for directions to a shop before telling him he looked “quite stocky” and asking if he did weightlifting.

The teenager told him he did not but added that he enjoyed running. Arobieke then allegedly asked to see his leg muscles.

Mr Scholz said the teenager lifted his trouser leg just above his ankle and Arobieke felt his calf and described it as “quite big and hard”.

Then, claims the prosecution, without being invited Arobieke squeezed the boy’s thigh.

The court heard Arobieke was arrested after the victim told a friend.

The friend knew of Arobieke under a nickname and when the pair did an internet search they uncovered details of his past.

All round the fields of Anfield Road
Where once we watched the King Kenny play (and could he play!)
Stevie Heighway on the wing
We had dreams and songs to sing
'Bout the glory, round the Fields of Anfield Road
