I think he's a great coach dont get me wrong. But there's a worry that he would be too much of a short term fix to our problems. He would bugger off the second things got ugly IMO - he even claims to love Chelsea etc etc but he didnt seem to have a problem walking out on them and they havent been the same since. I honestly think that if Maureen were here during the Yanks tenure he would have gone ages ago and that worries me to be perfectly honest

That, and he has Manc written all over him

With all due respect Rafa didn't beat THIS Barcelona team home and away so the point isn't really valid. There comes a point where sometimes it's best to just hold your hands up and admit you were wrong. That point was probably a while ago to be totally honest, tonight just re-enforced it.

Sometimes there's no need to say anything, because events speak loud and clear for themselves. As far as this particular debate is concerned, tonight was such an occasion.

Yeah sorry I forgot that the barce team had an in form ronaldinho as well as etoo instead of the ineffective imbrahimovic as well as Iniesta playing oh and yaya toure - yes your right totally different team . I can see which was stronger can you ?

I think allsorts of plaudits will have to be on hold until it happens over two legs and Inter have travelled all those hours in a coach - its only half time .

Yes, the only English club that ever managed to win in Barcelona was Liverpool.

Wenger said recently that they were able to win everywhere in Europe, bar Barcelona. Liverpool achieved that.

Anyhow, Mourinho won't face an easy game in Barcelona.

Was watching the Sunday morning paper talk show on Sky Sports recently. They were saying that the belief is that if Jose Mourinho wins the CL with Inter he will be off, safe in the knowledge that he has achieved more that the previous manager. His dislike for the italian league and style of football in general means it's a matter of when not if he leaves.

If he does decide to leave and he is available to employ, I think we will only make a move for him based on who the new owners are and their transfer budget for next season.

Doubt he will be anywhere near us after his comments last night about the ref he said "My Chelsea Boys" didnt get any favours from the ref last year !!!

the main difference between maureen and rafa is that maureen seems to lick his top stars ars!es and they do seem to play for him in return. Were as rafa doesnt seem to know how to put his arm round some players ie babbel which some players need to feel wanted by the manager.

It's quite odd that if Mourinho gets a mention elsewhere on the boeards some people begin a blubfest, whereas on the Mourinho thread all those same people want to do is come on here and talk about Rafa.

Since they've brought it up lets be absolutely honest here. There is absolutely no comparison between them as managers. It isn't even close, much as we'd all like it to be.

Congratulations to Mourinho, he subdued and stifled the opposing team, and totally out thought Guardiola with regards to the midfield battle ,Barcelona were simply not allowed any freedom to impose their superior passing on the game without the intervention of a Milan boot ,Mourinho got his tactics spot on last night ,Barcelona simply could not handle the direct play from Mourinho's men and for that I applaud the fella ,......... but must he bring the spotlight firmly down on his self revering head by his comments after the match, ffs let the result speak for its self it was a brilliant result and his game plan was precise ,so why risk the chance of firing up Barcelona to the point of playing the game of their lives in the return leg ,sometimes these interviews he conducts seriously take something away from the team ,who were superb last night
