TBH i really couldnt give a flying f.uck what you think as your pretty much one of the main reasons why i cant be bothered posting much these days or any other day - this thread is about torres yet your last post is another maureen w.ank piece . As for blanket throwing take a big look in the mirror as you blanket throw every single poster who dares do the unthinkable and back and support our CURRENT manager . Thats even before going into your latest bunch of sarcastic cr.ap your spouting about positivity and negativity.

How about post your knowledge (which is good ) and post your points (which are very valid) without the sarcasism and without having to dig at people who disagree . Ie just like saint does . He prob agrees with everything you say and you both think the same but saint can post it without antagonising everyone at the same time . Ie just talk about the point and football without all the sideshow attached to it then people might debate with you and not get pis.sed off with you having a pop at them .

Benny when I said it's all good, I wasn't asking for advice on the way to behave. I'm easy if you couldn't give a flying feck what I think, it's cool.

It does seem a bit rich though if you don't mind me saying so (even if you do infact) to lecture me on the way to get people to debate with me, when you follow up three or four ultra reasonable posts of mine in the way you just have. Given the way things are, I think a bit of mutual "ignore" is probably whats called for. It's worked for me in the past and in the present, and if my posts wind you up to the extent which you claim then I'd heartily reccommend it.

Whatever mick was just a bit of friendly advice - if you have chosen to ignore it then i will just go back to not bothering posting again to save myself getting pis.sed off with you littering the place with your cr.ap presently . As i said the point still stands - its a torres thread not a maureen wa.nk fest - you have your own personal one of them elsewhere . Should you decide to go back to posting normally without all the sideshow i will look forward to talking some football on here . If not cest la vie

get ready for the press in the morning, there is said to be reports that Torres could have held off from having the op untill the summer but picked now to have it so he will be fit for the world cup.

you what .....if he did i would not blame him, Spain have a good chance of winning it and he should be part of it.

saying i dont think its true

I am not arguing about money again (at least not for a while  :D ) A manager has to get the best out of the players and money available ...... Rafa has in my view FAILED to do so.

Mick said how awsome and dedicated Maureen's system was how dedicated he was to winning etc, I said well if he was so awsome and his system so awsome how come he did not win anything major in his last couple of years, meaning it was not his "winning ethos" but rather the players he had and someone picked up on that (and you quickly side stepped it), then you say Rafa did not win anything in the last four years. Now I realize you wish to back up your mate regardless, but surely you are merely arguing for arguing's sake.

I'll make it clearer, if Maureens preseason routines that Mick eluded too are so awsome and way beyond what Rafa might do (which was the spirit of the post), why did he not win anything of note (yes including FA cup) in his last two seasons. Surely this bit about "winning ethos" is eternal since the best manager in the world is doing the talking.

So much goes on that we never hear about yet "clever fans" seem to think they know more. I'm sure Rafa is much cleverer than many on here seem to give him credit for.

If you remember back mate, Ferguson said after Mourinho had won his second title on the trot, that they needed to up their game and be ready to make a fast start to the season, as they couldn't afford to let Chelsea get away from them at the start again. Obviously he took a leaf out of Mourinho's book and made sure his players were ready from the first whistle the following year.

As Steve Davis once said .... "the more I practise the luckier I get".

Even Paisley couldn't win the league EVERY YEAR.

IMO if you haven't got huge amounts of money to buy the league, maybe it is wise to make sure that your players are ready from the start of the season and that you get the players you do have, playing to their best level. Not messing about in pre-season as if it doesn't matter. Winning is a habit, it builds confidence and helps the team gain momentum for the season ahead.

Rafa may be clever than many give him credit for, but as Paisley used to say ......“Football is a simple game made complicated by people who should know better.” ...

Im guessing it looks a bit like this

I hope the papers aren't accusing him of chubbing us for Spain. I like Nando, I wouldnt want him to think any of us are on his back over this
All round the fields of Anfield Road
Where once we watched the King Kenny play (and could he play!)
Stevie Heighway on the wing
We had dreams and songs to sing
'Bout the glory, round the Fields of Anfield Road

lol mate i did not say it was breaking news, i said the press are going to be printing it.

do you think theres any truth in it.

if you was him (i wish i had his money) and you knew you had a good chance of winning the world cup, would you have the op right now and be 100% for it....i think i would.

lets face it, he is only going to miss a few games for us and we are not going to get 4th.

and the managers subs him when he plays anyway ( just a joke no one beat me up over it lol)

Perhaps this is a good thing in a way, the rest of the squad can show who is worth keeping and who should go in the summer as they'll have to cope without Torres. I think we can be overdependent on Torres, psychologically as well as actually.

I seem to remember him needing this operation earlier in the season but Rafa not letting him get it?
Now he HAS to get it and it means hes not playing in our last games. Whos fault is it really?
