that much better? I admit I struggled with FIFA 10 but its by far and away the best footy game. How much better can it get?

Yeah, it may not be noticable on viewing, but playing it and it soon becomes clear how much they've improved it over 10. The AI make runs that you expect them to off the ball, especially into the box, crosses have more speed and whip on them making them a nightmare to defend and can be cracked in low at pace for random deflections and players to run onto. Headers now have more power and can be directed with pace. Perfect there. Shooting is a LOT more refined and you can really bash them now and you know you've made contact and feel when one goes on target. If the keeper saves one, you're now surprised instead of just expectant like in 10. Keepers now make far, far better saves in the box. They are brilliant. Passing feels better, and the 360 control feels more free and you can now skin two or three players with it with the right player. It's just improved in all the right areas, and for me it feels like the old PES games when they were cutting edge.

Yeah, I saw you playing it on Live last night.

I only played the first 40 minutes or so, seems quite solid, although I'm not impressed by by the sub 720p resolution.

BTW, last week my wife kicked my PS360 back upstairs to my "office" (read games room) where I had to "endure" gaming on my 26 inch PC monitor (massive for a monitor, not so impressive for console gaming) so I went out and bought a new 42' Panasonic Viera plasma which, given that my office/gamesroom is a smallish box room, is absolutely gigantic. Gaming has been taken to a whole new level, BF:BC2 is absolutely amazing on it.  :buttrock

Extra content - the DLC available in one box, as opposed to harvesting it seperately over XBLA via the original SKU.

In other words, get the GOTY edition - i have and it is quite splendid.
