I agreed with most of your post but got stuck on this line mate.
to be fair Saint Rafa was a fecking revelation when he first arrived
only in the CL
he did not understand english football or the history of the FA CUP.
AND TO SOME POINT I STILL THINK THASTS TRUE NOW.
That's a bit harsh lakes. Didn't we finish with a record points total in the league last year? And didn't we win the FA Cup a few years ago?
yes mate but what did he go on to do after that....sell the better players and buy player that dont fit into english football.
Well to be fair he had he eye on better players but how many times over the last few years has be been able to get his no 1 targets?![]()
If he doesn't get his No. 1 choice, he settles for, errrr, the likes of Voronin ?
Sure as well as...
Pennant for Simao
Skrtel for Vidic
Johnson for Alves.. it's ironic we spent 17mil on Johnno when we only needed 12 for Alves and the owners wouldn't even stump up that at the time
I know Rafa has made some bad buys but he always has to sell to raise money.
59 players Bav............. 59........and we end up with the team we have now, thats got to tell you something mate, come on
59 players which are not bought as filler or first team. Sure some turned out duds, but that's normal for any manager anywhere in any league. Benitez has mostly had to adopt a buy to sell, sell to buy policy. His net spend has been zero in two years since the Yanks gained complete control over this club, and next season he's going to have to sell more player to raise funds? At Liverpool FC, one of the biggest clubs in the world supposedly? Seriously?
Our problems began in the summer when we pushed United to the brink (and should have won it if not for Torres being injured for half the season) within 4 points. It was then the Yanks had the opportunity to capitalize by either investing by strengthening the squad where it was needed by giving the manager the funds to go and get a David Villa, Silva or players of that elk, players which we desperately needed to kick on, but they failed us and the manager. Then was the time to strengthen us, then find a viable buyer on the premise that we were on the verge of pushing for major honours in the coming season to potential buyers by making us look like a decent prospect to buy into due to the overall quality of the squad, which could have been challenging on all competitions if the quality was there. They didn't. Instead they gave the manager f*ck all, forcing Rafa to sell Xabi to Madrid, money which could have been used to strengthen in other areas had they put their hand in their pockets. Most other top sides with smart owners that own a team on the verge, or having just become champions don't sit back while the squad becomes depleted and others around them strengthen. Unfortunately we have owners who do not have a f*cking clue. We either get rid of these parasites or we settle for hoping to challenge for the league once, maybe, in the foreseeable future while they are here.
i think you are spot on in most of your post mate but must add this
" forcing Rafa to sell Xabi to Madrid, "
no mate Rafa

you are right our owners dont have a clue but they have spent a lot of money on players, most of them hand picked by Rafa, if you fall the the I had to sell my best player to get other players, then thats just silly
Rafa could have sprent almost uptp 36mil last summer, he spent 20mil on a player that was unfit and he took so much time sorting out another play the price shot up to 22mil, yes the owners shoud have given him the other money
