So basically you're just kicking and screaming when all of the evidence is to the contrary?

Benitez’s agent, Manuel Garcia Quilon, has been in talks with Juventus and Real Madrid as he forms an exit strategy. Recent statements by Benitez have seen him suggest that more than £50m needs to be spent on the squad this summer to compete with their main Premier League rivals."

We didnt loose 4th place today we lost it by not winning away from home since Villa away in 2009.

Anyways we played really well and there was some great football onshow if Hodgeson takes over from Rafa well just feckin shoot me now because if you think Rafa is defensive youve seen nothing like this b@stard in action  :no

FULHAM F.C. ANTI-FOOTBALL !!!!!

Imagine we get through to the final with that shower  ???  :sleep  :shifty  :no

100% cigs.

I'm hoping we do get them in the final, though. Maybe then they'll come out of their box and we'll give them a good tanking.

City still have to play United next week and Arsenal and Spurs too. 4th place is still a possibility! Of course we still need to win our next game.

The team does need another quality striker but with the system management plays, who would want to sit 90% of the time waiting until Torres gets injured or rested?

You can already see the repurcussions of quality players sitting from when you look at Babel and now Riera. When you have a decent backup, if they don't play consistently, they tend to rock the boat with comments. The only reason Babel is now happy is because Riera is in the doghouse and he gets to play the majority of the time.

I would love for this team to get a $20 mil striker but I can't see this player being happy with the current system unless they move Steven back to the midfield but then wouldn't the same problem exist with fatigue if both strikers play every game?

Pacheco looks like a firecracker and I hope he gets a decent run in the next few games instead of Ngog.

The season is over in terms of the champions league positioning so I plan to enjoy the remaining games as a Liverpool fan again. It's a long drought of three or so months once the season ends of not watching my favorite football club so there's no point in complaining about management anymore. As the saying goes "...whatever will be will be!"

Benitez guaranteed us the 4th spot....and looks like he can't deliver it....so for this reason alone (if he is a man of principles)....he should just go at the end of this season

I just can't imagine another season of benitez managing us anymore.....

Maybe you'll f*ck off then, because odds are he'll be still here next season.

yes no other team is mad enough to ask him to be their manager now.

2 weeks ago he was in talk with other clubs but i think that might have changed in the las week.

Lakes, don't talk complete sh*te, fella. I don't mind you, but at times you talk some extreme amount of cack. Rafa could walk tomorrow and be offered any given job at MASSIVE clubs like Madrid, Inter, AC...take your pick. He'd walk into those jobs. Benitez job here is a lot more difficult than what it would be at any of those, and that's a fact. The state of this club in the way that it's been run in the last 20 or more years is nothing but a poisoned chalice for any manager coming in looking to land the league title. We're lucky to have him here. Some of you were looking Roy Hodgson to take over instead of Rafa? Jesus f*ckin wept.

more to do with player not liking the idea of him being their manager mate, Alonso and the like have had nothing good to say about him, every week another player overseas comes out and says something bad about him, i think even a player did it today.

i was as optimistic as you before this game. After watching city in the last few weeks I could go as far as saying that they might beat Arsenal with their feeble defence this year. I mean look at the bookies betfair.com people are offering 19.5 - 1 for us to make top 4.
