I've always kinda thought LFC's illustrious history was fundamentally built on the concept of 'keeping the ball'.

what the point of having so  much of the ball if you do nothing with it?
should have made it count when we had the chance, looking at the 1st half they only need to move one player over on the wing a bit more and they are going to cut out most of our play.
could be a much harder 2nd half.

need to come out and get a goal in the first 10min now.

If you think we didn't play that first half Lakes then you'd just as well give up watching football dude.

Nope...He is spot on...The purpose of the game isn't holding the ball...I can hold my balls for ever it would still not give us the fourth place....

Some absolute clueless pollutions on this forum now.  :kungfu:

he was here first Ste  :D

Came out of the woodwork, then crawls back in then.

The only irritation is that we all know Rafa won't make a change till 60mins anyway. I think I would bring Benny on ASAP and maybe try what Scott suggested ....Babel up front.

Could have fooled me. I always thought the very nature of the sport was to keep the ball more than the other players and score more than they do?

What can you do when they've parked the bus? It invariably becomes that wee bit harder to hit the back of the net. From what I've seen of these lot today, Atletico are the only real threat to us not lifting the Europa.

alright really need to take charge of this 2nd half and get up 1-0 at least, no point having all the possession and shots without bothering the scorers

pls re read my post again mate,  WE DID NOT MAKE IT COUNT.

we can be the best team for 94mins and have the 100% of the time but if its still 0-0 whats it worth....even more so if they get a goal in the 94min.

Remind me how much are we leading? Aqua is playing as if he just completed a series of MOM performances and has nothing to proove...Forgive me but this is BS ,he should make his presence felt by making moves the effect the game some deeps passes directing play and puting a circus show.

He should earn his minutes with plays that give us points.

Babel again wasting our time ,the whole team is playing lathargic and apathic...Except for Mash.

Sunny day in Anfield guess everybody is having too much fun.

Let's relax after we secure the win.

Good Luck

You must be watching a different game to me mate. Lethargic? It's not a lethargic performance in any way. We've had the liopns share of possession (all of it), the lads are moving the ball quickly, playing at a good tempo, but we're struggling to break down a VERY well organised Fulham side without a decent frontman. If we can keep moving the ball like this for the next 20-25 mins in the 2nd half they will tire and we will score I should think.

So i guess we disagree...SG is hardly making his presence felt ,Aqua is focusing on doing Tricks and Babel is his usual waste of space...I think Maxi is lost a bit and the rest are holding well the ball but not really doing much with it...

The Score is 0-0 and we have yet to create many chances...

Better luck next half

Wasnt the worst half of footy i have seen from us.

Some decent chances, its clear that Fulham are here to avoid losing, its nnot like we are going to able to hit them on the break like we did against benfica mid week. Our quality will show sooner or later.
