Madrid already have ezeqiuel Garay as well .

so they have Garay, Cannavaro, Pepe, Metzelder, as well as Ramos and Heinze, who can play there if needs be... how many central defenders do they want?

We've only got four in our first team squad and showing how hard it is to keep them all happy. How many starting XIs wouldn't Agger make in the Premiership? Outside the big four quite possibly none

Never buy from PC World, product quality is poor and their 'customer service' is even poorer

RAFA: AGGER IS NOT FOR SALE
Paul Eaton 03 October 2008

Rafael Benitez today told Real Madrid they would be wasting their time making a transfer window bid for Daniel Agger.
Reports in this morning's media suggested the Spanish giants are preparing to swoop for the Danish defender once the window reopens next year, but Benitez insists Agger is not for sale and remains a part of his future Anfield plans.

"The situation is very simple, Daniel Agger is our player and he is not for sale," said the Reds boss.

"His future is at Anfield and nowhere else. He knows my ideas because we have talked with him and he has a long future with us.

"We do not want to lose our concentration just before we play Manchester City by talking about other things but it is important that people know that Agger is not for sale."

are they willing to offer silly money? If so, and we this Brazilian kid we are looking at is the real deal and a big aerial presence then I think we should consider the move.

Torres ...... He is not for sale
Gerrard ...... He is not for sale
Hyypia ....... He is not for sale
Agger ......... He is not for sale
Alonso.........

Just seems very strange to me ???

I certainly wouldn't sell Agger, but I think to get the best out of him we need someone better in the air playing alongside him. A young Sami would be ideal.

Seems Madrid never wanted him anyway!

Meanwhile, Benitez again responded to reports linking Real Madrid with a move for Daniel Agger.

"There has been something in the press about Real Madrid but I have spoken to people there and they've already sent a fax saying it's not true,  they're not talking to or interested in the player," he said.

"They know he is good but they have enough centre-backs. We knew before that it wasn't true but it's even clearer now.

"He wants to stay, he's happy. He wants to play like every player does but he is okay and he'll fight for his position.

"Jamie Carragher and Martin Skrtel are playing well, so he needs to fight."

I have confidence that the lad will do a good job, after all he had Jamie as his mentor in his early days, might be a bit soon for him as he hasn't played much but I'm sure he's going to relish the pressure now. This is his chance, I'm sure hes going to grab it with both hands!

Stevie Heighway on the wing
We had dreams and songs to sing

after Skrtels injury today looks like Danny is gonna get an extended run in the side, we know the lad has bags of talent but he hasn't had a proper run of games in a loooong time so lets give him a chance to settle back in and hopefully he'll get back the understanding that him and Jamie had in 06-07 that got to the CL final.

Does anyone knows who else was registered for the Champions league as CB? I believe we only have Agger backing Jamie and Skirtel at the time while Sami was out. So, we are again short of CB.....Don't want to see Arbeloa playing CB again....
