Sorry to hear about all this, Lakes.  Chin up, mate--things will get better for you and Mrs. Lakes before too long.  Just address the emotions head on rather than side-stepping them.  That way, they don't eat away at you and prolong the agony.  Oh, and give Facebook a miss for a while...you'll be amazed how liberated you'll feel. :)

but yes you are right it feels they are just rubbing it in.

Good luck.

I doubt they are rubbing it in though, it is just so sensitive that it seems that way when they mention it (and they are probably really excited)

Or, they may be paranoid about NOT mentioning it and making you feel awkward.

Either way, friends and family are trying to look out for you even if it doesn't feel that way.

sorry to hear that mate

i do know what you are going through my wife and i have had 3 miscarriages over the last 6 years.

we had one then had a girl then had another 2 miscarriages after than then we had are second girl, before the girls we had a boy but it turned out after we had him she was not able to carry any more boys and the doc's said that when we lost one they were always boys

at the time i just tried to be there for the wife and was very lucky in that i played rugby and believe me giving out a slap or two was very good for me and really helped.. not that i'm saying you should do it :)

all i can say mate is when you are both ready get yourselves back in the game and get some baby making games going :;):

thanks

lol well i work for myself but the contracts are being cut short so i am running around all the time finding new work, places like Mind and the drug and alchol unit have had their money cut and the local schools that i teach adults in have also been hit.

looks like "rob a bank" might be the way to go, had another :censored: daytoday, at 3pm got told they can not afford me untill Sept in the local shools.

as it stands i have only 4 units of work left and that ends in may.

i am sure things will turn up, this time last year was almost the same then i had a run of getting £1500 a week.......should have saved it as right now i am trying to live on £100 a week.

But this is where you are wrong. With regards to finding another job, priorities kick in. Admin work, look to women, any other look to foreigners. This is the order. Or to be precise, this is the order:

School Leavers: Train them up and pay less than minimum wage.

Women: Minimum wage.

Foreigners: Minimum wage.

Thats the order. Argue all you like against it. Until you see it first hand you cannot grasp it.

The stats regarding unemployment dont take into consideration the New Deal project. So many unemployed people are on placement, working for a charity for an extra £10 a week for about 6 months and yet are classed as employed. They are not employed, for stats sake they are.

Its almost impossible to find work once you become unemployed as simply too many things are against you. Especially if you are white, male and british. Once you become unemployed, you descend so far down the pecking order its almost impossible to recover.
Bill Shankly: “I was the best manager in Britain because I was never devious or cheated anyone. I’d break my wife’s legs if I played against her, but I’d never cheat her.”
