We simply do not have the funds to entice such a manager ,we have promises which instantly become broken promises ,we have dreams which are easily shattered ,we have voices that the worlds media is going to great lengths to ignore ,and we have a transfer budget that wouldn't have paid Portsmouth's phone bill .
Anyone still dreaming now ? because that's the pavement approaching fast ,sorry to burst this bubble but for those who have our feet firmly planted on planet earth ,its not going to happen
The thread isn't really about whether or not Mourinho is likely to become our next manager or not though Red, it never was about that. If you read the first four pages you'll see the reason I started the thread in the first place, that there was much misconception about his record and achievements. You had some posters claiming he was tactically inept, only was able to buy success etc so I decided to properly examine his record. From there I was obviously setting myself up for a barrel-load of stick as soon as he failed, although obviously I haven't had it yet.
In reality there are times when a previous argument is so categorically settled once and for all that little further needs to be said. Those who made such claims about Mourinho the manager don't need me to comment on which way the argument has swung. Like I say, sometimes events speak for themselves.
