no we must win all the gamne, we might be able to drop 2 points and still get 4th with 70points but the money is on for over 70 points for 4th spot, for us to hit that we must winn all the games left.
The way I see it spudz have sprinted into a lead, but have a tough set of game left with Man Utd (a), Chelsea (h), Arsenal (h) and Man City (a) to come. The spudz fan I spoke to reckons they might get five points out of that, I think that is optimistic but would still be seven points dropped which is the difference between us at the moment.
Citeh have a two point advantage over us and a game in hand. However, they have to play the mancs at COMS, Arsenal away and both spudz and villa at home. They may be tempted to settle for a point at home in the latter two, even if they don't that is another tricky set of four games they'd be happy if they picked up 7+ points in and so there's five points droppable which would make the gap between us and them if they win their game in hand.
I bet villa wish they hadn't played yesterday, not only did they lose but they were humliated like some pub side and lost a lot of ground on GD let alone points. They've lost any games in hand and are seven points behind spudz like us, the only solace they can find is they too have a relatively easy looking run-in with just Citeh away and bitters at home their tough-ish fixtures
But I agree in essence, we will almost certainly need 6-7 wins to secure 4th, I can see the other sides dropping 5-7 points but we're about that behind so we can't really afford to drop much more than two ourselves if that. When the control is out of your hands, all you can do is win to put pressure on. A draw won't put any pressure on, it would hardly make a dent.
