Was it against Reading at Anfield he said we were controlling the game?? Yeah rafa, as they sliced open our midfield for the umpteenth time.

I think his vocabulary is so limited he cant think of other words to say. Interviewer: "Fiorentina ran midfield and battered you today rafa".....rafa:"but but but *sniffles* we were controlling the game"

You sure you're a Liverpool supporter? Because to read most of your posts is like reading hate mail.

I agree his posts are a disgrace ,I reckon he's one of Moyes Boys Stinks the place out like a bitter

Christ...

Ok...yes yes... we haven't lost a whopping 16 times this season, we havent been dominated and toothless in losses at Portsmouth, Fulham, Sunderland, Wigan..we werent diabolical at Wolves and Stoke, we werent dumped out of the group stage of the CL for the first time since Diao and Cheyrou's 2002 team, Lyon didnt have a staggering 17 shots at Anfield, we weren't outplayed at home to Reading in the FA Cup who didnt carve us open umpteen times or miss two one on ones before scoring twice, our central midfield hasnt been outclassed and dominated repeatedly this season, and the creativity from there has been sublime, some of the football we have played has been a joy.. the pass and move ethos of the club has been there for all to see (reminding us of images of shanks side to side hand motion on the bench in the '74 Cup final), lucas has been Cruyff-esque, we really go for the jugular when we face anyone and impose/dictate our game with attacking flair, we are the entertainers... and we have lived up to the name of this great club.

Indeed gentlemen.

I hope but when Rafa picks his favourite personel we can go a game vs the likes of Wolves without a shot on goal ffs!

And it's especially worrying if Rafa actually thinks we were playing well like controlling the games, unlucky, referee perfect and etc. He would not change things if he actually believes all those.

Correct... and its the delusion (failing to admit failures and address them) that prolongs failure. Its endless bluff.

Supporting failure by not pinpointing failings, is not being a supporter.

amen brother, but apparently this is the standard of footballer that true Liverpool fans want and we are clueless and disrespectful for wanting LFC to play good football.

I think its the new breed of fan (having said that i've only been supporting us since the early 90's) who don't grasp the standard that we set..and should be living up to... as they have lower demands and anyone who questions the garbage we are being served up is lambasted for not being a supporter... when infact its them who is the lesser supporter.

The day we lower our demands is the day the club that Shankly built is dead.

I refuse to accept garbage that is lucas wearing the liverbird on his chest as Ray kennedy did. Its an insult.

I refuse to support and cheer failure. If you had a kid who got 45/100 in his exam.. would you smile, give him a pat on the back making him feel thats fine, or look p'ssed off, demand he puts in greater effort to achieve what hes capable off? You are letting him down by not doing the latter and aint doing your job as a father, likewise as a supporter.

Go on Rawk.. its laughable how uneducated a vast number of the posters are, and you speak out then expect a bannage.

Well you speak of Shankly, well let me tell you one thing that would make the great man turn in his grave - turning on your own f*****g club. Never do we turn on our own, we stick with it through thick and thin, the fans who understand that are the ones who are singing twice as loud when the chips are down. Not the ones who see supporting Liverpool Football Club as a hobby when things are going well.

It's a full time job supporting this club. That's one of many things Shanks installed into his faithful, that we don't let our club down no matter how hard times are.

I'm sure even Shanks is up there next to Bob, Joe, Reuben and God questioning some of the performances this season, trying to twist God's arm to ensure we finish fourth but he'll still refuse to turn on the club, it's manager or it's players.

You may want to take note of this sentence - we never turn on our manager or players.

People question the team, the expectations they have and that others have. That's one of the reasons they come on the forum. Where they differ is in their expectations and the way in which they express themselves. Some are vitriolic, others more measured. As it stands, most are demanding (expecting) more on the pitch and have done for a while, and hold the manager to account for his apparent failings, but not all of them feel the need to proclaim it from the rooftops and nor are they wrong not to do so.

Our "support" is a large reason we have gone 20 years without a domestic title.. we give people who aint good enough time (managers/players) and naively cite Ferguson/Wenger as reasons to be patient. Its like buying Ade Akinbiyi..and then saying give him time as it took Ian Rush a season to start banging them in.

I will ALWAYS support people who are good enough (hence Gerrard who has carried us for a decade i will support to the hilt, unlike some gobsh'ites) while those who ain't good enough i want rid.

Bill Shanky paid big money for Tony Hately and then discarded him after a solitary season as he wasn't good enough. He didnt support garbage.. and he'd turn in his grave to know there are those that do. When you lower demands, expectations.. you get what you ask for.
