I've tried a fourth time, still can't get us in at 4th.  Basically this says to me, if we drop ANY of the 21 points available, we aren't getting fourth.  Maybe we can afford one draw, to put at 70 points and just sneak in.

I won't celebrate Rafa going........ but I will be over the moon if Dalglish comes in. League within 2 years if he gets the job, AND YOU CAN QUOTE ME ON THAT.

Everton will go level on points with us if things stay as they are. I bet there's a few on here who are glad they never answered the "how bad has it got to get before etc etc" questions earlier in the season. Unbelieveable.

If the bitters hold on they`ve done us a favour it would make it a possible 5 points behind as citeh still have a game in hand.
5 points is better than the eight it looked like it would be, they have soom tough ties coming up too.
Its do-able, just.

Teams round about us are doing a fine job of letting us back into the race fo 4th...

Man City getting beat, Villa held and Spurs (although not playing in the league tonight) have had to make 3 enforced changes due to injuries to first team players.

It's looking like being a top night. All our main rivals are struggling, while Chelsea are winning which lessens the chances fractionally of the Mancs winning the title. In other good news for us, even Birmingham are losing which could be their second defeat on the bounce. We really ought to be able to finish above them from here.

Now I know being out of the title race after six games wasn't enough for people to be convinced. Losing at Home to Reading the FA Cup didn't do it, being knocked out at the first time of asking in the Champions League had no effect, losing 15 matches this season didn't shake their conviction. How about finishing below Everton in the league, would that do it? They're now level on points with us although we do have a game in hand.

Don't tell me, they've spent more money than us. Silly me.

Both Villa and City lost points at home tonight... I gues Rafa's "strategy" (rifals loosing games) is actully possible... but I swear if Rafa doesnt take advantage of this, I'll fly to Liverpool kill Rafa and hang him on Shankly gates for display.

Comeon mate, at least this way we still have a fighting chance... yes it has sucked all season, but we are still here to support Liverpool, but if they dont take this chance then they probably dont deserve you (the fans) and dont deserve to qulify for a better position.
