Exactly, and you wouldn't believe the truth about Hicks or Gillett at first either. (insert smug smilie here)

Initially, yes, and the majority of people were too, IIRC.

The thing I think you're referring to actually is the Rafa press conference in which he said "I am focussing on training my team" ad infinitum, there was a report done it and posted on here, and yes I treated it with skepticism, although I hadn't actually seen the thing on the telly. But of course, sh!t happens.

Worrying mate. I hoped that we would be sold to someone with an interest in sport or even better a love of Liverpool, rather than more businessmen who presumably will have no interest beyond the balance sheet.

If we get the debt paid down and a new stadium, I think we could both be winners, they will get the profit when they move on and we will hopefully see a secured future. So its not necessarily bad news, but I think we may see trophies and players take a backseat to profit.

The main thing for me is to secure our future, and hopefully they will realise that success on the pitch can bring huge rewards off it.

Not doom and gloom at the moment mate, but cautious optimism.

Saint Hicks is bringing these kunts in MUSE was with him when they destroyed the Corinthians, they are leverage buyout merchants and plan to set up a hedge fund, like the Glazers have done with them investing the 100 mill, and us/the club having to pay that 100 mill back with a higher intrest rate than we pay to RBS and Wachovia.

How do you feel about that?

Lead down to one point now, it looks like Inter have taken their eye off the ball after they beat Chelsea in the Champions League. Be interesting to see if Mourinho can arrest the slide, and also if he can get a team who is neck and neck with AC Milan (who the Mancs beat 7-2) past Chelsea. If they don't either get past Chelsea or win serie A, I'll be expecting plenty of grief on here. Should be interesting.

Impressive.... everything from the pre-match press conference to the post-match celebrations, Mourinho handled impeccably..
Tbh, I thought Inter should have won it by more than the single goal... A great display of tactical genius from Mourinho imo and i think yet again he proved over the two legs that he is one of the best -if not THE best- in getting his players to play beyond their perceived abilities.. Man management made the difference yesterday and every Inter player out there looked head and shoulders above anything Chelsea had to offer..

??? How strange. I'd be a Liverpool fan regardless of who is the manager myself. To base your support on whether or not you like the personality of the manager seems really quite odd to me, but then again it takes all sorts I suppose.

Putting aside whether or not we'd invite him around for tea and crumpets for a second, to beat Chelsea Home and Away in the last 16 of the Champions League with THAT Inter team was pretty impressive I reckon.  As a previous poster said, it was a classic example of getting a bunch of players to perform a mile above their normal potential.

Still, I don't like the cut of his jib, so if he ever takes over I'm off to support somebody else  :) .

If Rafa left then Mourhino is the only manager I think could win us the league, yes he is a b@stard but we would idolise him.

The only trouble is he has the Craig Bellamy syndrome doesnt stay at the same club for long, and he wont be coming here anyway because of our financial situation and he would always be argueing with twit & tw@t so its a non starter.

If Rafa leaves in the summer I think Sven will be our manager next season.

Well I may be biased considering his work with Socceroos but Guus Hiddink would be my fantasy manager to get the holy grail if Rafa goes.
Mourhino is a snake but I agree with CGGY he would be idolised if he came to Anfield.
It would also be interesting   to see how good he is in league without Roman's money
