I bought Toy Soldiers last night but I've yet to play it as I was finishing Heavy Rain. I'll give it a lash this evening when I put my little one down to bed. On the 360 I've just started Borderlands.

The big one this month is God of War 3, can't wait.

I enjoyed Borderlands up to a point. Very unique 'style' - just got fed up with the lack of variety in the AI. Weapons went a bit samey after a while too...

Toy Soldiers grows on me more and more - i think its a smashing title.   :)

That  first 10 minute GOW 3 footage looks amazing. Visually as good as anything I've seen to date, though I'm not quiet sure it'll usurp ME2 for the best game of 2010 IMO. I think after GT5 comes out (eventually), I'll be very tempted to buy a PS3. Some gems to come this year, and Perfect Dark on XBLA on St Paddys will be a nice little nostalgic bonus. Are there any good deals going on pre-owned PS3's?

BC2 is at least twice as good as MW2, MW2's online is terrible BC2 is far more balanced and the strategy that can be used in it can make your squad unstoppable.  Unfortunately not everyone plays the right way and people still have the MW mindset.

God of War lll demo is awesome, getting that.

Blur Multiplayer Beta is awesome, didn't expect it to be good but it's addictive and soooooo much fun, getting that too.

MW2 DLC out soon too, man I need to start saving with all this stuff in the next month or 6 weeks!!

Can't recommend Borderlands enough, I'm not a fan of RPG's this is awesome, controls are perfect, graphics are great, etc

You can see why it was a top runner for GOTY last year!

Yeah, Borderlands is great. You can even play 2 player split screen co-op.

Question for any of Mass Effect 2 players out there.

Do you need to have played Mass Effect to enjoy the second game ?

After loving Dragon Origins I picked up Mass Effect in bargain basement but havent really been able to get into this game . Can I skip it and go straight to Mass Effect 2

I'd advise not to. ME2 is designed so that it can be played as a stand alone if you haven't played the original, but with a story as convoluted and epic as ME, like any good book or film, you just can't get the emotional connection as much as you would do if you didn't understand the back story of the first book or film. There will be heavy references to the Reapers and certain characters in the first game, the gravity of which you won't understand if you missed it. Not only this, your actions in the first can directly change your experience in the second should you wish to port over your Shepard from the first. My advice is to get both. This series is possibly the best I've ever played in 20 years or so of playing games. They are masterpieces. You may not think so innitially as I did, but on their completion, and especially ME2, you'll come to realize the achievement Bioware has produced. I didn't want the second one to end and was gutted when it did.
