Liverpool vs portsmouth - Play for the shirt

Liverpool Football Club - Games

Postby Greavesie » Mon Mar 15, 2010 11:03 pm

A word on that Anfield crowd - it's just over 40,000 and is the lowest on this ground for more than five years apparently. So there you go. Not a great deal happening out on the pitch at the moment, though Pompey are admirably fighting until the end.

From BBC sport - explains the subdued atmosphere
All round the fields of Anfield Road
Where once we watched the King Kenny play (and could he play!)
Stevie Heighway on the wing
We had dreams and songs to sing
'Bout the glory, round the Fields of Anfield Road

He might miss the game with United at the weekend

Well deserved if he does get in trouble, but i hope we get lucky.

Good excuse to start Aquilani!  :D

If Lucas is started before Aquilani then Rafa needs to pack his bags.

I don't know what you, or anyone else for the matter, is on about. United's middle just won't allow for that kind of space to allow him to play like that. If Lucas and Masch start, it will be purely tactical, and it's done the job well enough in the past against United. Against Lille is a different matter. Same kind of formation with Aquilani playing in the middle.

What are you talking about? The tables were turned, or are you blind? He was kicking the sh*t out of Gerrard most of the game, and did you miss his elbow inside the box where he just plowed right through the back of Gerrard to head the ball?
