Greavsie, Rafa has not been given to funds to bring in these sorts of players. Way out of our reach.

Really? So 20M for Aquilani is a fair deal then?....I rather keep the money and keep my options open...What significant difference to our club have he made so far with that massive investment? I would rather get owen back for free albeit his injury (only recent).

I don't believe in the sh!t buying for future plans anymore IF it means f@cking up our present.

The point is that I do not believe in the manager aany longer given any amount of investment....period..

I love LFC more than I love Rafa or any f@cking primadona player....

Ah well in that case it's that other thing interfering called work. Stop being a smartarse nd stop attacking me all the time it's getting very boring, and although I'm flattered by the attention you give me I think other people are maybe getting jealous.  :D

I hear you mate but if Rafa had been a little more cautious in buying players we could have pooled some of the resources together and bought a significantly better player than say 4 fairly average ones.

There were times when we on here would look forward to the Silva and Villa rumours etc. Not just them two a whole host of others as well - are people saying we've NEVER been able to afford these players all along?

Lets face it the owners are tight w@nkers and to be perfectly honest if they handed Rafa a £40m transfer kitty I'd be concerned about the effect it had on the club. Plus the fact I just don't just Rafa spending it these days

Rafa never had the option to sign Silva or Villa. He would have jumped at the chance.

Aquilani has not justified his fee yet. He was injured for longer than expected (was supposed to be October initially) and when he came back wasn't match fit. Rafa had to decide whether to give him a few games to get accustomed to the Premiership and possibly drop some points or stick with Lucas, who has improved gradually.

My preference, with the MASSIVE benefit of hindsight, would have been to 1) Have bought someone else who was fit to play at the start of the season (could have bought Scott Parker for v. little, not sure GB was an option this season), 2) Played him back to match fitness when he got over his injury 3) Tried to avoid playing Masch and Lucas together.

He has not been a good buy.

Liverpool need 'four or five' top-class signings, says Fernando Torres... why 'four or five'...??? easy...the untouchables within the team are... Torres, Gerrard, Reina, Johnson, Masch... The next level belongs to Agger, Kuyt, Skrtel... Thus, with another 'four or five' top-class signings... this will make up a team with enough squad depth...
so now you should know who are the craps in the team... Torres certainly knows that...!!! :D
