I think it's an interesting idea, it might actually be a solution.

If we cleared all the debt then we could rebuild, we would still have revenues coming in, we could focus on bringing through youngsters, it would be a step back but ultimately would be a huge leap forwards.

your basing the debt on numbers we dont know, ML have been lead by Hicks to think that the debts in around 150mil now.
RBS have not told ML what the numbers are and not have to.
ML are the ones looking for buyers from Hicks side, if the debt is still over 200mil that once again Hicks has not been telling the truth to ML.

a man with sense

everyone here wants success so bad they dont care how it comes

i bet all of you would love a billionaire man city type takeover, then buy every foreigner in sight.

also what you all forget is selling all the top names and the top sqaud players = a much smaller wage bill

meaning we might actually clear a profit every year (if the fans are as loyal as you think) gates would still be high and wages low

is it time to stop trying to be the best and just realise that we have had "a time"

a moment in time where for whatever reasons we dominated

if we still believe we can win titles again in this current climate we all are idiots

unless we have a billionaire takeover (which is basically like playing football manager with a cheat code)

heres a little parody for ya

A guy massively in debt up to his eyeballs drives around in a 100k ferrari and has every expensive gadget going, lives in a house worth a million

what do you say to him?

most would say..........

desize ya car, desize your house and live within your means rather than living a lie thinking the debt will just vanish.

Jeez... selling half of our players won't even solve our debts because the business doesn't work like that! It actually makes things worst in the long run!

A good idea to solve our debts is cost cutting
