Hansen was a terrific player, right up to when he retired.
The Scots were bloody mad in only picking him 26 times for his country (he was capable of 100 caps) but I guess that sort of suited Liverpool at the time.
Anyone remember the days in the mid 1980s when international managers used to hate Liverpool because our players always seemed to "mysteriously" withdraw from internationals due to injury, only to play a belter for Liverpool the following week?
Those where the days, and the internationals where only home nations, not all the countries it is nower days.
