it's how you express it that matters. it's all about context.

for example there's no way i'm going to sit back as a moderator and listen to someone like big niall call rafa a "useless f#cker" (which he did a about a week ago) and let him get away with it. same as members like redtilldead who brought no "debate" to the forum whatsoever. he just attcked the manager in every single post he made, even in threads that had absolutely nothing to do with the manager. it was just tiresome.

heimdall, you claim you want free speech and then that free speech includes comments such as "if rafa is still manager next season i'm going to take a break from watching football altogether" bring nothing constructive to the table whatsoever.

all in all the general state of football posts is declining. just look at the fact that this thread has 390 posts and was inevitably still right near the top of the board when i logged on this morning where as a great thread started by john c has 8 replies and is half way down the page.

too many people want to have theri say on how this place is run and how it's gone downhill instead of trying to make it better by making constructive and interesting topics to start with.

Maybe nothing very constructive but it was my personal opinion and I don't think I shock anyone when I say that I don't like Rafa, did anyone really get offended by that post?

I do agree that there are far too many glib one-liner posts in the forum though. Personally I do always try to explain my views but more often than not just get shouted down by people who don't even try to see my point of view.

Just for the record, why was Big Mick and Saint banned ?

It's been a while but when I spent a considerable amount of time on here I always thought those 2 were particularly well balanced and wrote decent stuff.

Feeling the Force Young Jedi................  :D

So the forum has plunged into acrimony, secret deals, spats and upsets since I was last here then.......no change there ! :D

Whatever the reasons It's always a shame when popular posters leave/banned (Delete as appropriate).

Things have been not right for a good while and saint and bigmick are firmly in the camp that feels that we need a change of manager.
They have in my opinion put their opinions accross in a balanced way.
But their opinions dont sit will with some more vocal fans.
Who have accused them of ruining the forum by posting so mant pessimistic posts.
I personally feel their posts are and where justified, its just that some fans still back the manager, which is fine but for people who dont and criticise it got a bit silly.
They were being told they werent proper supporters and wanted the team to lose.
We have positive threads started - where only positive things were allowed to be posted, and if anyone tried to counter it, they were warned.
But the people who back the manager where free to post in whatever threads they like.

The fact is that anyone expressing anti-Liverpool manager sentiments will always be p*ssing into the wind on here. We're not here to sulk and to try and get one of the best managers in the World to leave the club he clearly has a lot of affection for. Anyone with even half a brain can see that our problems aren't on the field - if they were, do you think Pepe would have signed his latest deal?

It's time for the antis to grow some b*llocks and knuckle down for the fight. I expect most of them are just annoyed at having fans of other teams chuckle a our current financial predicament. The problem is, they are as clueless as the people they're talking to...

The problem is there are too many on here who think they know all the answers and know exactly what's wrong with the team when the reality is they are probably far from the truth. They are not there at Melwood day in day out seeing whats going on. But they like to carry on like they do anyway.

I believe thats a pretty disparaging remark there, a recent Harvard study would suggest the starchy tuberous crop is infact well versed in the finer nuances of the debating domain...

Bang on! It gets more ridiculous when those same people get a following and affect others opinion (ie in line with their thinking as wrong as it may be) because they write well or post alot.

If you did have to go to war you better take Lando because you and your mates (the strike club and the sulk club) would have long since given up.
