I think this whole thing is silly, sorry.

So we are up in arms because s@ints account is to be deleted? Well like bamaga man, I have lost all respect for s@int. So he got sin binned, rightly or wrongly. He had 2 choices, wait out the ban or leave. But he decides to ask for his account to be deleted. that's just juvenile. Bamaga did the same, yet not a month later he was back under a different name.

In fact I reckon accounts should not be able to be deleted.

Now you guys are striking becuase you want a change in the mod team? Have we not learnt yet? We could have Kofi Annan and Mother Teresa as mods, but the way the season is going and arguements on the boards, we be ready to slit mother teresa's throat in a  month.

the mods make no real difference. its us.

ps - sorry for posting this after the strike started, not my intention, i just logged on

Just to say -  "I'm still here."

I'm too normal to get excited by an internet strike.

Wel lI didnt find out about this untill ten minutes ago so couldnt join if I wanted to, however I dont think I would strike anyway because I can not see what good it can do.
I wrote to LFC last weekend to voice my concerns about some of the modin and especially s@int not be able to post, if more had done this it may have made a difference but now he doesnt want to come back so whats the point?
I`ll not knock you`s coming together for a just cause,I just cant see it making a difference.

Agreed this is silly and immature.

The thing is that although posters like Saint and bigmick would post alot on this forum, this season their posts have become dire and negative, which is fine as they are entitled to say what they want but not fine as we are a supporters (not fans) forum and they have been more concerned about being right than actual debate and seemed to be pushing an agenda (to get as many supporters to turn on Rafa as possible) and that does not seem on seeing as how we are an official Liverpool forum, whether we are a free country or not.

Frankly this forum will survive without these so called "good posters' whether they come back or not. It is about Liverpool people so let's not lose the plot. These members that are all leaving should open their own forum, sit there whining, moaning and complaining about how sh1t Liverpool, the players and the manager are and then see how much fun that site will be (my guess will be it will be like this site three months ago). Something had to be done and my bet is there will be new posters joining that will take proper debate to a new level.

Sometimes you have to trim the branches off a tree. It might look unsightly through the winter, but come spring you see why you had to do it as the tree becomes better. I'm not worried for the forum, and the more members that  continously state that this forum is going downhill that take a two week break the better. It is the internet people, get a fecking grip.

saints gone?

and dundalk and dawson have gone on strike?!

-----

oh how times have changed.

i miss the happier times on this place. when lando was abusive - yet funny, and judge would be the source of every gay joke on this place. we would talk about happier things, and make fun of welsh wizard, and t james, and left most of the serious discussion to the likes of JBG, bigmick, espionage, and umm. the manhattan project.

it saddens me to see the divide in this place. a chasm i hope will close someday, and unite the members of newkit into the entity it was before.

a squabbling bunch of internet retards. :)

just kidding. i wish dawson and his cronies the best of luck in whatever they want to accomplish. i just want this place normal again. its too.. serious in here sometimes, and it was much nicer when everyone just threw mud at each other without letting it hurt their feelings.

its the internet ffs.

laza and metalhead said it best.

Right on anti-hero but it has not gone downhill due to the mods but rather some good posters became disillusioned and then lost the plot. Whether their friends on here agree or not.

Definitely not happy of seeing posters (even the ones who I disagree) leaving or banned, definitely I think the forum is not in the best moment (like the team, actually), but I won't blame of this situation to one or two moderators and take part in a strike against them.

I simply don't know what happened, where it happened and how it happened those bans so I can't take sides.

However I respect many of the posters that think that strike is a good idea, and I respect their decission as I guess they know more facts than me, and I hope they are not offended if I keep posting a few posts (I don't have time for more these months).

I don't think the 2 weeks strike will bring or should bring new moderators, but in a way it will we good to take a deep breath and see the forum politics with perspective. That's what I've been doing from December or so, posting much less.

But guys like yourself (and others) should also hold your hands up because your responses to Micks posts over the last 6 months have hardly helped matters in this place, they have simply added fuel to the fire. It's all very well apportioning blame to certain posters but it's a collective thing. I don't usually get involved in the politics around here because (for me) it's just a place to chat football and it shouldn't get personal, certainly not personal enough for me to join in with a strike.

PS. Not trying to start an argument mate, just saying it as i see it

First of all, nobody was banned for anti rafa, anti liverpool sentiments....bans and cards were issued for abuse either on the forum or via pm...posting rights were withdrawn because of repeated violations of instructions given via pm's
posting rights would have been restored after the customary week but some members obviously don't take reprimands as well as others.
no accounts have been deleted
In March 2003 the best online count averaged 3-4
the posts per day were 20-30. the forum survived then through the efforts of the very few members that were around then for the first 2-3 years since it's creation in June 2002.....many good members have left and many more will come and it's generally reflected in the teams performance on the pitch and the silverware collected.
For all those that are cutting their noses off too spite their face , the forum will still be here when or if they want too return.

Love too chat but have more important things too do..it is only an internet fooball forum
