There's the thing though...these warnings/bans/suspensions/abdications etc are clearly handled on an one-to-one basis by the member and mod doing the slapping. In that respect i have no opinion to share over that, save to say the impartiality i should be aware of while making any comments regards the decisions about guidelines that the majority of us all have had a hand in shaping. That would not be fair. And i dont believe you are encouraging that anyway.

Now, i can speak (and will only speak....) about my own personal instances where ive carded someone. If there is notice to be given about that, it will end up in the Sin-Bin' - Contrary to dawson's little joke about 'my, not having done any moderating' Fortunately, and i say that in all sincerity....there (aside from countless WUM's) have only been cases where alter-ego's have attempted to slip under the radar and been binned. Not had need to caution any established members here for a while.

And the only thing i will say on that is, none of the recent cautions were handled by me anyway. The politics of why these 'thick-ears' were dished out, is also a non-starter as a topic.

As for my opinion of these posters merit. Well, they are all of them worthy contributors. Its sad that there is such a feeling that there has been mis-management on anyone's behalf. Im certainly not going to abstain from using the forum, it needs all the positivity it can get! It needs to recover its composure again, just like the team. When that happens - the place will flourish once more.

But like has been pointed out, the lads all have full lives extraneous to this site. Only so much can be achieved. Its a two-way street. But, i'll continue to chuck my two-pennorth in...as well as do the odd bit of non-existant moderating.
Inbetween work, the kids, maintaining the house, **EATING!!!! by the way!* as well as my personal interests AND of course supporting the club!

Harmony will eventually prevail - and certain lads might just decide to reconsider. Others will resume....as and when.

Listen, i dont want to fall out with you nor do i want (or wish) to start flapping cards about over this. The point has been made and thats were it should stop. You wish to refrain from the site for a while....fine. Others as well? Ok. So be it.

But that should be of their own volition, not instructed to do it. Let alone encouraged - you cannot fail to see where the line is drawn on that score.

But that is a fruitless exercise. Soon as the football starts, there will be activity. Stands to reason.

The Members of this forum will make a stance, they are proud of this forum, but they are willing to sacrifice 2 weeks and maybe more to restore this forum to it's former glory without silly bans for disagreements etc.Hopefully the mods can use this time to re-think some of the rules that are in place to make this forum a better place.(in a Samuel L.Jackson Voice

6 weeks of this and he'd be singing a different tune. Never mind 2 and a half years. Done voluntarily and in only your own spare time. Yet still im happy to give what little time i have, to help out here and there. ALL the lads are the same...

its gonna be like going cold turkey , some of us are gonna be rattlin, seeing things that are not there, cold sweats, ill have to argue with meself an at my age that looks bad, i wonder how soon it will be before someone crosses the picket line :laugh:

An im sorry but ive got to say this but i have not got a problem with any of the mods, But me being a Union member who pays my dues every month i cannot go against my comrades on this ,

Power to the strikers, i include Fernando in that :laugh:
