The Premiership - General Discussion

Postby Yossi_Benaloon » Mon Feb 22, 2010 12:24 pm

I think Moyes has a great ability to spot and develop young players like Gosling and Rodwell - these two are going to have great future and can imagine big clubs sniffing around Rodwell in particular during the summer. One football blog on Everton FC reckons Moyes will go to Manchester United when Ferguson retires.

Maybe not the best thread for it, but did anyone else just see the goal Mark Gonzalez has pinged in for CSKA against Sevilla?

Top drawer strike.  Pity he couldn't do it more often for us...

Didn't even know he was playing for CSKA these days.

Inter played really well. Lucio MOM for me.

Also i've said it a few times before and i'll say it again, Balotelli - top top player. They couldn't keep up with him. I really hope Lippi takes him to the world cup, he is :censored: magic that player and he can play up front or on either wing. Will be as good as Messi imo.

Inter played on the counter and did a reasonably good job but neither side really outshone the other. I thought Chelsea had another gear in them, though, and probably ought to have come away with a draw.

Is it true Balotelli has discipline issues? I heard that some time back he didn't turn up to training for under 21's but Casiraghi let him back anyway? I know Mourinho is a big ego but those 2 had a little thing the other day too right?

Will be a shame if he turns out to be a miserable sod but boy can he play.

A lot of people will say De Rossi is Italys most important player but I really think they should look to use Balotelli in the world cup more.

And feck me Zanetti still going after all these years!!!! He's a machine, does he not age?

I think if Etoo had not fluffed that chance in the 1st half the tie could be over now. I couldn't see them coming back from 3-1 even at SB with potentially no Cech.

Equally, had the ref given the pen, or had Lampard stuck that chance away Chelsea could have won the game. On balance though they both had similarly decent chances and neither really dominated the other.
